Bri's dance recital

I went to my granddaughter's dance recital today. They wouldn't let us take pictures or video during the performance as the flash distracts the kids and because they play songs that are copywrited so you can't take video. I was going to do it anyway but we ended up sitting right in front of some of the staff there so I thought I better not. It's too bad you can't though, the kids love seeing themselves. So the pictures I got are either before of after the recital.
I tell you some of those kids are so good. but the cutest ones of course are the real little ones. There was a group of 3 year olds and they were just adorable. One little boy just stood there and didn't dance at all lol. But he took a bow after. We laughed, he was so cute. Brianna is really getting very good. You can tell she enjoys it and it just makes your heart swell with pride watching her.
So here are the pictures I took and you can see how cute and adorable she is.

Just another day

Hello and Happy Friday!

It's cloudy and gloomy this morning and boy did it rain last night. We were suppose to get some really bad storms but I guess they have broken up and are fading away. We do need the rain though so it was good we got some. Hurricane season is here now so I pray it doesn't turn out to be a wicked year for them. There's been enough damage and destruction from all the tornados we've had already. Not to forget those who died in those storms. My heart goes out to their families.

As it turned out Sis got out of work early enough yesterday to go pick her kids up from school so they didn't get to come here Sad. So I was able to enjoy thirsty Thursday after all. Once I got there though I didn't feel like being there lol. You ever get like that? You think you want to go somewhere and then when you get there you'd rather be home. So I only stayed for an hour and came back home.

Tomorrow will be fun though. Bri's dance class is having another recital and those are always so cute. This year she took both ballet and tap and loves it. Of course I will have my faithful camera and hope to get close enough to get some good shots and video. I have to be there by nine in the morning though so I have to get moving earlier then I usually do. Some days I don't even get dressed until around 9 or 10 lol.

Well, I don't have much to talk about today. I'm struggling to think of anything. Unusual for me I know lol as I most often have something to say. Chatterbox Might not be interesting but hey, it's my blog right lol. So anyway I hope you all have a nice day today and a great weekend. I hope your find something fun to do.

Oh before I forget now that spring and summer is here it is also tick season...

Subject: Tick Warning
I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it
myself a couple times unintentionally... but this one is real, and it's

important.

So please send this warning to everyone on your email list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks

due to the Summer weather and asks you to take your clothes off and spin

around with your arms up..... DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.

What Happened

Is the title of the former Press Secretary Scott McClellan's Scott book about his years as the White House spokesman. I guess it's creating quite a stir in Washington. In it he talks about how he was lied to by Carl Rove and Scooter Libby And Vice President Chaney and their involvement in the leak of CIA agent Vallerie Plame's identity. He also talks about the propaganda we were fed to go to war in Iraq. He was asked why if he felt that way why he didn't say anything to them at the time. He said he believed it just like everyone else did at the time. When he found out it was all lies he felt his credibilty was tarnished and was sad that he was misled like that. Of course everyone in the White House are denying a lot of what he wrote but I wonder. He had a lot to lose writing this and nothing to gain so I tend to believe what he is saying. He also says he still has a fond affection for Bush. Oh some are saying that it was for the money but he says he did it to get the truth out and that people needed to know this stuff.

There was a survey on the Internet  yesterday that asked if former White House personnel should write about their experiences during their tenure or not. The response was overwhelmingly that yes they should be able to do that.

Let's face it, this President is the worst one this country has ever had. And for the life of me I can't figure out why he hasn't been impeached. Maybe Clinton lied about having a fling with Monica but it certainly didn't warrant impeachment. What he did didn't cause over 4000 deaths of our citizens and military personnel plus 10's of thousands of Iraqi innocents all based on lies by Bush and Cheney. There was no WMD's and they KNEW that!!! He was thinking of his legacy when he started this war and how he will go down in history. Well it's not going to be what he hoped it would be. It blows my mind that he is allowed to stay in office.

I am glad that McClellan had the guts and backbone to write this book. It's about time if you ask me. Bush is surrounded by a bunch of "YES" men and women who seem to be afraid to cross him or tell him they think he's wrong. I mean just look at all of the people who have resigned from his administration. I don't know about you but it makes me wonder why. Wouldn't it be interesting if they all end up writing books about their experiences while there. The country has steadily declined during his 8 years in office and I for one am glad he can't run again. I didn't like Bush when he ran the first time and I still don't like him. Like I've said before, he is not the man his dad is. Not even close. I wonder how he feels knowing the most people think he's the worst president ever!!!!!!! Thanks to him we've lost the respect of other countries around the world and I only hope our next president can get it back.

Well it's thirsty Thursday again but I might have to miss it tonight. I have to pick William up from school and Bill has to get Josh and Devan from school and bring them here if Deanna has to work late. Jon's mom has a Dr's appointment at 3:00 that he has to take her to. So if the kids are here I won't be joining the girls tonight.

Terry and I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday to spend our gift cards. I think I did pretty well and got quite a bit for the amount on the card. So I'm a happy camper about that.

Guess I'll get going and do something around here. Hope you all have a great day.

Hi

Boop Hello Friends

Good morning all! I hope you all had a restful and peaceful night. I slept pretty good last night, never woke up once. That's a good thing wouldn't you say lol. It's unusual too.

You know all those flowers I planted last week or so? Well, all but one kind are all gone. Only the stems are left. I don't know if it was the storm we had the other night did it or not. The wind was pretty wicked and the rain fell hard. Wouldn't  you think that they would at least be laying in the yard? They're not, they're just gone. It could be some critters eating them I suppose and if that's it I guess I just won't have any flowers in the yard. Since the stems are still there I'm hoping they will bloom again, otherwise I'm going to be pretty upset that I went to all that work for nothing.

I finally finished the circle journal albums last night Beth. So tell Lee I will be sending them out by the end of the week. Sorry it's taken me so long lol. I just couldn't get my creative juices flowing. Deanna got tired of waiting for me so she went ahead and did her pages and brought them to me. I think she did that so I would have to send them instead of her lol. Smart girl I raised there eh!!! Now her's is the only one I have left to do. I'd send them out today but I want to go to Hobby Lobby and I have to get some tape and stuff to box them up in. I hope you both will like what I did.

Here's a few pictures of Trent's Dog Ace who ripped some flesh off my arm the other day trying to play. Isn't he a big boy? He's gorgeous too. And to think he's still a puppy and not even a year old yet.

Well I hope everyone has a happy Wednesday. Whatever you do today please take care.

See ya soon!!!

What a difference a day makes

Tuesday comments

Yesterday was perfect! It was almost 80 with a gentle breeze and you couldn't ask for better weather. Then last night I could feel the change coming on. I had the door open and all of a sudden the wind came up and the temperature dropped drastically. This morning it was only 43 when I left to take William to school and tonight it's dropping back to 37 again. Geesh!!! By Thursday it's "suppose" to be back in the 70's. We'll see.

I guess I'm all out of video's of the party now lol. So I won't bore you anymore with them lol. Just wish all of you could have joined us as it was loads of fun.

Yesterday after supper I took my walk and stopped over at my sister Jodi's house. About 4 or 5 months ago her son Trent went out and bought an American Bulldog. This dog is afraid of just about everything until he gets to know you lol. If he's outside and hears another dog bark he high tails it for the house. Anyway, I stop over there just about every time I take a walk so he's getting use to me now and will finally come up to me. Even though he's still a puppy he's a bigt dog and must weigh at least 70 pounds already. He want's to play  like a puppy does but he's so darn big lol. So anyway, I'm sitting there talking to Jodi and laughing at Ace when he decides to jump on me. He missed and caught my arm with his toe nails and ripped a big hunk right out of my arm when he slid down lol. Man that hurt! He doesn't know his own strength and he's so hyper, and I think he will eventually get up to 120 pounds.

Not sure what I'm going to do today other then laundry. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow I might take a ride up to Hobby Lobby and finally spend my gift card. Wanna go Terry? Speaking of laundry, the washing machine just stopped so I better go and throw them in the dryer. I will be around shortly to say howdie. Until then, Have a great Tuesday.

Party pics & Video

We had a great time at Terry's party! It was so much fun.

Click on View all Images if you want to, it goes faster there.
I'm working on getting the videos loaded.

When ever we all get together at family parties or wedding receptions we always have them play "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge and do this dance we made up years and years ago. Everyone loves it when we do that and always joins us.

It's a Family Tradition.

Wanna hear

A funny story? Last fall I bought Bill and my son Denim jackets that was on clearance for only $5.00. Wednesday night we were leaving to go to Williams concert so Bill got the jacket out to wear. As he was putting it on I noticed the tag still attached under the armpit and I reached over and yanked it off. Now, this was a big tag, you know the kind. I then asked him if he's worn it before and he said he has. He's always running somewhere like to Walmart, Gander Mountain and places like that. So I start laughing. He asks me what's so funny and I told him that he was lucky that he's never gotten stopped for shoplifting at the stores he's been too. It wouldn't have been very funny if I got a call telling me that he's been arrested for shoplifting lol. Even though he laughed to he wouldn't think it would have been funny if that had happened. And the sad part would be that I don't have the receipt anymore so we couldn't prove that it was bought and paid for. I laughed so hard that it brought tears to my eyes just thinking about what could have happened. I told my sisters the story at the bar last night and they laughed as hard as I did lol.  I guess I'm going to have to inspect him every time he leaves the house from now on lol.

I went to check on the Robins yesterday and now all of them was out of the nest and just sitting on the ladder. Mom was on a tree branch not far with a worm for them and she didn't like me being there and started scolding me. I went back in to get my camera and she was back again sitting on the same branch watching me. So I walked behind the boat and watched her. Finally she flew over to them and started feeding her babies. The had all their feathers as you will see in the pictures and are so cute. It was fun watching them and hearing her tell me to get away. She was all fluffed up and pretty mad at me. DSCF0414 DSCF0415

Bill said he that when he went out there last night that they are gone now so I guess I missed their first flight.

Tomorrow night is Terry's retirement party and I'm sure looking forward to that. Bring on the music and the dancing and all our family there. It's going to be so much fun. I will be taking lots of photos and trying to catch her crying or doing something silly lol. Soooo, stay tuned :)

Happy, safe weekend

A superb day

Hello Comments

Thirsty Thursday is here again!

Today is starting out to be nice and sunny and I hope it stays that way. I don't have any plans for the day as of yet so I will just play it by ear. I went to Menards yesterday to look at paneling and found one that I like but it's not on sale. I refuse to pay full price for it so I will go to Home Depot and Lowe's and see what they have. If there's isn't  any on sale I will wait. I have all kinds of time and a lot of patience lol. The one I like costs $18.99. It looks more like wall paper instead of just wood. Of course they have those too and are cheaper but I don't think I want that kind. In the past I have always settled on what's cheaper then what I really like on just about everything I've ever bought. This time I want what I want and hope I don't crumble and give in to the cheapest thing out there. I almost bought some paint to start painting but I want to get something that matches the paneling so I didn't get that either. Oh well, like I said, I have all the time in the world and lot' of patience lol.

We went to Williams spring concert at school last night. Boy those kids sure are good. Some of the kids who sang solo are amazing. The seniors were the last group to sing and when they were through their lower classmates gave them a standing ovation. I think that is so cool. It seems to be a pretty nice school with very little problems compared to other places that have made the news. Knock on wood! I'm so glad of that!

I checked on the Robins yesterday and one little guy fell out of the nest and is laying on the ladder next to it. They are getting so big already and have most of their feathers now. It looks like it's pretty crowded in there so maybe he got pushed out lol.

 DSCF0406  DSCF0407

It won't be long and I'll see them standing on the edge of the nest getting ready for take off lol. I sure hope I can catch that when it happens. The hummers and Orioles sure have been busy around here too. We've never had this many hummers before and they are so fun to watch. I can sit right here at the computer and watch them.

My daughter called me yesterday and told me that Jon told her that his mom wants to go back home. She doesn't want her to though and I hope she sticks to her guns. It's not that she doesn't like her but she's just too sick and needs too much care that they can't give her. She can't walk anymore so you know what that would entail if she came back to live with them. They would have to help her with bathroom issues even if she could walk there. And since she can't, you know what that means. They would never be able to leave her home alone again, so one of them would always have to be there. And when Deanna has their baby they would have to leave her alone. Jon has told his mom time and time again that she's  way too sick for them to take care of her again. But she keeps bringing it up and making Jon feel bad. I told Deanna that she needs to stick to her guns. Once more I bet Jon hopes she does deep down. I told her to tell Jon to tell his mom that she said no. It's better she be mad at her instead of Jon. And what if she died at home and the kids found her. That would be just awful. Not only that, neither of the kids would want to have that room for their own if that happened. When the baby comes they are going to need that room anyway. I feel so bad for them and I hope I never need my kids to take care of me. Put me in a nursing home and visit once a week, that will work for me. I haven't talked to her since yesterday so I don't know what they decided but I hope for their sake and their kids that they tell her that it's just not possible.

Well, need to get busy around here. So I hope you...

Happy hump day

Sherry

Thank you Pauline!

Good Morning and Happy Humpday! I thought this picture that my friend Pauline made of me was very appropriate for today lol. Don't you agree. I love it!!!

So who do you think will win American Idol tonight? I thought for sure before last night that David Cooke would win but I have to say David Archuleta gave me goose bumps last night. Especially when he sang the song Imagine. He was the best by far. If he wins I hope he gets a good strong manager who isn't afraid of his dad. Young David seems so immature even for a 17 year old so I don't know how he will handle all this attention. If his dad would back off a little maybe he would grow up.

I was so glad Christy won DWTS last night though. She really was the best and deserved to win. I'd never seen or knew who Usher was until last night and he's pretty darn good isn't he? I really need to widen my listening pleasures, other then listening to the oldies all the time lol.

Well I got all the plaster cleaned up. I filled 11 bags half full and we hauled them downstairs. It was a good thing they were only half full cause that stuff is heavy. By the time we were done we both were sweating like crazy. I'd say I got my excersize for a couple days eh. Today I'm going to run to Menards and see what they have there in paneling. If it's not on sale though I'm not buying it. I can wait, I hate paying full price for anything. If they don't have anything I like I'll have to run up to Home Depot and check them out. I tried looking at their websites but they didn't have paneling listed. Gee, I hope they still make it lol.

The sun is shining brightly and it's going to be a nice day.

I hope it's nice where you are and that you have a

Wonderful

Half done

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm getting a late start today. I didn't wake up until seven and that's unusual for me. But not surprising with the day I had yesterday. I finished planting the flowers first, then I ran up to the hardware store to get some face masks to wear when I tackled the wall up stairs. About one in the afternoon I grabbed the ladder and my hammer and went to work. I bet I pounded for at least two hours and even though my wrist and arm was started to feel weak I was determined to get it done. And get it done I did. I'm surprised at how good I feel today. I'm not hurting or aching anywhere. Guess I'm in better shape then I thought I was lol. Well I still have to bag it all up and haul it downstairs today but at least the hard part is done. See for yourselves... DSCF0404  DSCF0405 See that pile laying there, that's only half of it. The rest is on the other side of the room and that's what I have to haul away. The trash man isn't going to be too happy with me on Friday. Tomorrow I will probably go look at paneling to put on there. I am going to need help doing that though. As you can see the ceiling angles down and math and I aren't compatible. I'd have it so messed up and waste the paneling lol. So that's where either my brother-in-law will come in to play or my sons. It will probably be my brother-in-law though as he hangs drywall and could probably get it done lickity split. Besides he's retired too and only does small jobs anymore and my boys have to work. Earl doesn't know it yet but he will soon lol.  I probably should pick out the paneling before I decide on the paint color don't ya think. Oh and I'm sure the other walls will need washing as that plaster dust flew all over the place...darn.  I looked like a dirty snowman by the time I was done lol. Bill thinks I'm nuts and bit off more then I can chew, but it needed to be done. And by golly it will get done come hell or high water lol. So I guess I better get at it and clean up the mess so I can start with the fun stuff.

Here's some wisdom from children. Don't ya just love their logic!!!

What a way to end the season

Photobucket

Thank you Sissel!

Good morning and happy Monday!

For those of you who watch Desperate Housewives wasn't that some season ending episode? I was worried they were going to leave Lynette in jail all summer lol. They better not mess with Mike and Susan though, I like them together. Maybe we will have to start a letter writing campaign to the producers and tell them we are not happy lol. Can you see Gabby as a mother lol? I sure can't, she just isn't mother material. At least now her and Carlos have money again. I thought they would find a way to get his money back that he had stashed all over the world. All I know it's going to be a long summer without them. Are you ready for re-runs?

Not sure what I'm going to do today. My back is better today so I do want to finish planting the flowers today though, but that won't take long. Maybe take a walk later. Or, maybe I'll run up to Hobby Lobby to spend my gift card. I hate making decisions lol. There is so much I want to do and it all keeps running through my mind but deciding where to start is the hard part. There's so much that needs done that I have to decide what's more important. Sometimes I just want to sell it and move lol. It's a old house with plaster walls and I hate them. I'd love to take it all off and put drywall up. I am going to do that up stairs though. It's going to be a mess but I'm determined to get that part done. Maybe I can bribe the boys to come and help me lol.

Well I better get started if I'm going to accomplish even a little bit of what needs to get done. So have a great Monday everyone and a super week.

5月18日

Oh my aching back.

Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday.

It's a bit chilly here this morning and we might eve get frost tonight they say. The cold sure doesn't want to give up it seems.

On Friday Jodi and me and Bill took a ride up to Westfield to the Brakebush Outlet store where they sell chicken wings, strips, breaded mushrooms and cheese balls in huge boxes. They sell other things too but we went just for the chicken. Bill loves breaded mushrooms so we got some of that and some cheese balls. So you can guess what we had for dinner last night lol.

Yesterday I went and bought some flowers to plant in a spot in our yard that was just crying out for something to be put there. So I go get the pitch fork that Bill said fit so nicely in my hand (darn if he wasn't right, grrrr) and started digging. So there I am on my hands and knees and my back aching like heck, working away like a trooper. After I get them all planted and they look so pretty I want to stand back and admire my work. Do you know  how hard it is to stand up again after you're done without having something to grab onto to help you get up lol. What happen to that spry flexible person I use to be lol. So there I am down on the ground having a hard time getting back up again. I'm thinking now what do I do. I can holler and hope Bill hears me, or I could crawl over to the deck which is clear across the yard from me, or I could just wait until he notices that I'm still out there lol. Waiting wasn't a good idea because I knew he was in a poker tournament and it could be awhile. So I'm thinking to myself ... Sherry I said you can do this. just drag your leg up and push up on your knee lol. I did it!!! All by myself with no help LOL. I was worried though. I still have more to plant today but they are going to be in front of the deck so that should be a cinch lol.

I took a video of the robins. The are getting all fuzzy now and getting "cuter?" I can't wait until they have all their feathers and are learning to fly. I hope I can catch them doing that. They sure are hungry little things.

All your problems are solved

glitter-graphics.com

I went out for awhile with the girls last night and we discussed everything under the sun and we have solved all the world's problems. So now everyone can sit back and relax because from here on out you don't have a thing to worry about lol. Now all we have to do is convince the rest of the world lol. I say, let women run the world, we can solve everything in a matter of a couple hours and a couple drinks lol. And if they don't like what we say, we will just put them in a time-out :).

Every year a robin makes a nest on our ladder that hangs on the garage. Bill noticed it again the other day and when he looked in it sure enough there were eggs in there. Well today he saw a little bitty head poking up out of the nest so I went out with my trusty camera to see if I could get some pictures. Of course mom flew away the minute I was near but I did get some pictures. There are 3 in there now but It looks like one egg is yet to hatch. It will be fun to watch them grow and I hope to get pictures as they get older. Next time I will get them on video.

DSCF0400   Baby Robins  DSCF0401

They sure are ugly right now though aren't they lol.

So stay tuned as I hope to show you more as time goes on.

Here's a giggle for you!

A grandfather, who worked away from home all week on construction,
always made a special effort with his family on the weekends. Every
Sunday morning he would take his 7-year old granddaughter out for a
drive in the car for some bonding time.
One particular Sunday however, he had a bad cold and he really didn't
feel like being up at all. Luckily, his wife came to the rescue and said
that she would take their granddaughter out. When they returned, the
little girl anxiously ran upstairs to see her grandfather.
"Well," the grandfather asked, "did you enjoy your ride with your
grandmother?"
"Oh yes, Grandpa" the girl replied, "and do you know what? We didn't see
a single dumb bastard or lousy shit head!"
Brings a tear to your eye doesn't it?

Have a great weekend!!!

5月15日

Hey!

Thursday

Hello all and happy Thursday! I hope you have a great day today. Only one more day until the weekend. I don't particularly look forward to the weekend like most of you do lol, everyday is like the weekend for me lol. Jealous aren't you LOL.

Well, Syesha was the last girl voted off American Idol last night so now it's down to the two David's.  I guess I don't really care who wins as I'm not a big fan of either of them. David Cook isn't all that great to me really. He has a good voice but he just doesn't set my feet a tapping. And David Archuleta is just ok to me too. He seems so immature that I wonder if he will be able to handle all that comes with it.But I'm sure daddy dearest will be there guiding him. Which could be why David is so immature. And besides, he seems to be better with ballad's  and not very good on other types of songs. Anyway, that's just my opinion and I won't be voting for either of them.

My daughter's mother-in-law won't be coming back to their house to live with them, at least for awhile if ever. She is now in a nursing home. She's unable to walk and her liver is no longer functioning among a host of other things wrong with her. The doctors are surprised that she's even still alive. Last week one day they thought sure she wouldn't make it through the night. But she's hanging on. Of course she wanted to go back to live with them but it is just impossible, they can't give her the care that she needs now. I have to be honest here and say that I'm relieved that they don't have that responsibility anymore. Especially for my daughter. She works 40 hours a week, has two children and one on the way and it was getting to be too much for her. Jon kind of feels bad because he promised his dad before he died that he would take care of his mom. They took care of her for 3 years but now he has to think of his family. I was so worried that the kids would find her dead some day and they sure didn't need that. They still have to drive her to dialysis 3 times a week though. I wonder now that her liver is no longer functioning they will increase her dialysis visits. I hope not as it's a 20 mile drive one way. With gas prices they way they are it will cost a small fortune as it is now.  And besides since Jon got laid off from work he has to spend his days looking for a job. I sure hope he finds one but it's going to be hard. With all the lay offs that's gone on around here there are a lot of people out looking for work.

I might go up and visit the girls tonight. After all it is THIRSTY THURSDAY lol. So I have to go get the gossip and find out what's going on in their worlds don't I lol. And I will report back to you if anything exciting has happened to them. Have to keep up on these things don'tcha know lol. But first I guess I better get dressed huh.

So take care ya'all and have a great Thursday!!!

Hello kids

Hi all! Not much to talk about today. I don't live the exciting life Cindy does lol. It's starting out nice today but they say more rain is on the way again. I'm about as tired of the rain as I was of the snow. The only good thing about the rain is you don't have to shovel it lol. I was trying to decide if I wanted to ride to Madison with Bill today when he goes for his Doctors appointment but I think I'll stay home. I don't really feel like sitting in a waiting room for a few hours. He as to see 2 doctors and the lady who makes his diabetic shoes. So, I'm thinking I'd have more fun here at home lol. Well if you want to call housework fun that is. Maybe I'll call Terry and see if she wants to go spend our Hobby Lobby gift cards we got for Mother's Day. I need to go to the library to return some books too before they are late. Don't want a fine ya know lol. I'd hate it if they didn't let me get any more books.

We've had a couple of tragedy's here in Wisconsin over the last few days. A medical helicopter crashed Friday night after they dropped a patient off in La Crosse. The pilot, the doctor and the nurse all died in the crash. They were all so young and so talented and dedicated, and loved what they did. It's so sad. Then there was a house fire in Janesville where a 7 year old boy died. They say his 4 year old brother accidentally started it. The father was able to get the 2 and 4 year old out but couldn't get to the 7 year old. The 2 year old was flown to Milwaukee but I don't know what his condition is. I can't imagine the heartache that family is going through. I heard that the grandmother tried to brake down the door to get in too. And just this morning a fraternity house in Madison had a fire as well and is a total loss. There were 25 students in there but they all were able to get out. Thank God for that.

There sure has been a lot of tragedies around the world lately. The cyclone that killed ten's of thousands in Myanamar, the earthquake in China where thousands more have died. I think maybe God is mad at us. Everyday you hear about something happening it seems. I wonder if the earthquake will effect the Olympics this year. I guess we'll find out won't we.

Ok, it's time to jump in the shower and start my day. I hope you all have a great day today and go do something for yourself.

Hugs!!!

Mother's Day Pictures

Even though the weather was nasty we had a wonderful day together. It started out rainy, windy and cold but by one o'clock the rain stopped. It was still windy and chilly but at least it wasn't wet. Terry tried to get Jack to get out the leaf blower and dry off the grass lol. He didn't think that was such a good idea lol. I thought it was a great idea lol.

The kids gave me a gift certificate for Hobby Lobby, and a beautiful crystal rose & money, but the best gift is spending time with my kids, grandkids, my sisters and their kids. That's what it's all about isn't it! In fact we talked about doint it again next Saturday lol. It isn't unusual for us to get together for picnics in Terry's yard in the summer. We don't need a reason or a holiday, we just do it.

The pictures are just a few that I took. When I get the ones that the others took I'll put them in too.

So, in spite of the weather I'm a happy mom and I had a great day.
I hope you did too!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!!

MomDad

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!!

I know you're with us and I want you to know how much

I love you and I miss you!

Meet my mom everyone. Her name is Charlotte and she was one of a kind. I only hope that I am half the women and mother  that she was. Mom had more friends then most people have hair on their head. No matter where we went we always ran into someone who knew her. So we knew we had to be good because she knew everyone in town and she would surely hear about it if we weren't lol. Mom never met a stranger because even strangers ended up being her friend. Her heart was as big as the universe and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for us or anyone if it was at all possible.

Growing up our house was the fun place where all the neighborhood kids came and hung out. She had as much fun with them as we did. But, at the same time if you messed up and did something wrong she would treat them just like their own mother would. They all loved her almost as much as we did. I could go on and on about mom but there isn't enough room on the Internet to tell you everything about her and what a wonderful mother, friend, confidant and person she was.  My sister Terry had this poem on her site the other day but I'm going to post it too. I posted it last year too and probably will every year as long as I can. It was written for mom by my neighbor who knew her very well. You can tell that when you read the poem.

A rose is missing from the garden today.

Needed in heaven to fill a bouquet.

Tenderly taken with the greatest of love.

And carried to that heavenly home up above.

Tho tears fill our eyes where the rose once grew.

Its memory lingers longest in the new morning dew.

Never again to be kissed by the rain.

Never again to feel natures great pain.

Only to bloom in that far away land.

Give beauty to God's garden as only it can.

As you remember the rose with each passing day.

Remember the love that it spread in its way.

When you walk in the garden with sadness and pain.

Knowing the rose will never bloom there again.

Reach out and embrace all of God's love.

For the rose now watches from heaven above.

Happy Mother's Day  to all of you wonderful mothers across the world. And if you still have your mom give her a big hug and a kiss for me too ok.

Love & Hugs

Devan's Birthday Party

DSCF0364

We had a wonderful time at Devan's party yesterday. They surprised her and rented a bounce house and the kids loved it! They had so much fun in that thing. I don't have many pictures yet. I had my camera with me but when I went to take a picture it said no memory card, it was still in my computer at home. I'd taken it out of the camera to put the pictures that I took when the kids were here the other day and forgot to take it out. Luckily when Jesse got there he had an extra one that he loaned me. The problem with that one though is that it was a small one without much memory on it so I couldn't take very many photos. The other kids did though and will be sending them to me so I can get them on here too.

After all the bouncing, food, cake and the ever anticipated gift opening Jon built a campfire and we sat around that and just enjoyed spending time together. The kids roasted marshmellows and made smores and we had fun watching them lose their marshmellows in the fire when they fell off the stick lol. I can't wait to do it again. Eric wanted to hear ghost stories but none of us could remember any or even make one up lol. So I told him I would look some up for the next time we get together there. Anyway, it was a fun day with the family and that's the best part.

Have a great Saturday

And

Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's out there!
