February 27 Rain and neighbor issuesBoy it sure rained here yesterday, we even had a crack of thunder that scared me lol. I hadn’t heard thunder in so long and I wasn't expecting it so when it happened I almost jumped out of my chair. It’s a good thing though, it melts the snow and that can’t happen fast enough for me. I think we are going to have issues with our neighbor up the street again in the spring and summer when it rains. Remember last year when we were flooded and everyone was getting water in their basements and we all had to get pumps and hoses to get try and keep the water out? He was the one who even after the flood water receded kept pumping water out into his yard instead of letting his sump pump pump it into the sewer system and as a result the water would run from his yard into the lady’s yard who lives between him and us then it would flow into our yard and flood our year each time. Well, now every time it rains he puts the hose back up and runs the water into the yards again. He did it again yesterday. If he’s going to do that every time it rains we will have to file some kind of complaint or something. The lady next door was pretty put out with them last year too so I think she would go along with us. There are nuisance laws here and I think that would fall under there don’t you? I hate to do it, but what else can we do. We tried talking to him last year without results, he just ignored us. All I know is I will not put up with having our yard flooded every time it rains. Our pump takes care of it and his would too. I really need to go to the grocery store! All I have left in the freezer is 3 brat’s, 1 hot dog and a half of a roast lol. I can’t even remember the last time I went and now I’m scared to go Went up for thirsty Thursday last night and even stayed longer then I usually do. I got home around 8 instead of 7. I’m just a party animal aren’t I February 25 No winner’sEveryone guessed wrong on the picture yesterday. It was Carol Dee’s photo. So I guess that makes Carol Dee the winner, she fooled everyone hehe. I did follow Rambling’s example yesterday and cleaned my stove. It really did need it and I knew I shouldn’t ignore it any longer. Now it looks brand new again…for awhile anyway. Next on the hit list is my refrigerator and then the shower. Just not sure when they will get hit lol. The carpeting needs a good shampooing too but the shampooer broke the last time I used it. The brushes fell off and the casing that holds them in broke in two. Jodi and I talked about going in together to buy another one but we haven’t yet. I might end up renting one before too long. I probably should wait until the snow is all melted and the mud is dry. Ya, that sounds like a good plan…I’ll wait. Beth is having a word game on her space today so why don’t you pop on over and play. It is fun and a neat idea. Well I guess that’s it for today. When you live the exciting life I have been lately there just isn’t that much to talk about. So I will come visit you and live your life, how’s that for a plan eh?
February 24 Guess WhoGuess who took this picture.
Happy Fat Tuesday everyone! And good morning! The sun is shining brightly and it’s not snowing so it should be a good day hehe. I had the honor and pleasure of watching my great nephew Ryker on Sunday. Jodi babysits every other weekend and she wanted to take her car to have the oil changed so she called and asked if I would come over and watch the baby so she could get that done. He was so cute. When I walked in I looked at him and said “Are you going to be a good boy or am I going to have to spank you.” He gave me the biggest smile that said Aunt Sherry you know you couldn’t spank me lol. Just look at that face. Who could spank him lol. I go over there every time she babysits just so he gets to know me. I watched Trent so much when he was small that I always said he was half mine and now to think he’s a dad is mind blowing. When she babysits she tells them to bring the dog with them so he isn’t locked in the house all day. When they first got Ace he was afraid of everyone but them. Well, he knows me now too and is glad to see me when I go over there. Now he meets me at the door and spins around in circles and jumps up for some affection. The problem with that is…HE’S SO BIG! When he is on his hind legs and I’m holding his front ones he can put his paws on my shoulders. He almost knocks me over when he does that. He’s learning though and knows what get down means. See what i mean on how big he is I think weigh’s close to 100 pounds. He’s great with the baby though. If your holding Ryker he doesn’t try to sit on you or anything. He might come up and sniff your face and Ryker’s but it’s like he knows he has to be careful around the baby. He’s very gentle with him. I think maybe he has a sense that he has to be careful with Ryker. Well, I’m not sure what I’m going to do today. I should take Carol’s example and clean my stove that I looked at yesterday and thought Boy that needs cleaning lol. Who knows, maybe I will, maybe I won’t Have a great day ya’ll February 22 Bri’s songBri was so cute in her program. Her mom said she was pretty nervous when she got up that morning. For one thing, her two front teeth are loose and she was afraid they would fall out at lunch but they held fast lol. She was the only one in her class who sang alone and she did a wonderful job. I’m so proud of her. It was a really cute program and the kids had so much fun. They sure get into it and you can tell they like it. I love it when they walk in and they all look around to find their families. I love that age. The reason it took me so long to get the video up is I liked my son’s better then the one I took. He has a tripod and I was just holding mine so mine was pretty jumpy. He tried to email it too me but the file was too large and wouldn’t go through email. So I drove up to their house today and had Jesse put it on a disc for me and it just now finished uploading. So here’s my little STAR!!! Enjoy!!!
February 20 Bri’s solo debutI’m excited about today. Our granddaughter is in her school program and she even sings a solo. She had to audition for the part so that’s pretty impressive, to me anyway hehe. Little stinker wouldn’t tell me what song she’s singing. I have my camera all charged up and ready to go. It’s at 1:00 but they live right next door to the school so were are going to their house early so we can get a parking spot before all the other parents and grandparents get there. I went up for thirsty Thursday last night and met up with my sister’s. Terry got home safe and sound Wednesday so she met us up there too and brought me my Elvis mouse pad she bought for me Well I better go get my face on and get ready to leave. It’s 11:00 now and I can’t go anywhere without my face on. Wouldn’t want to scare people ya know lol. So I will see you all later. Until then have a great day and wonderful weekend. Hugs February 18 I’m gonna be rich!!!

REPLY TO THIS MY Email (odigonne20@hotmail.fr ) Best regards I laughed so hard when I got this. These scams have been going around for so long now and there’s been so much on TV about them but they keep trying. Just because I’m “62” doesn’t mean that I’m senile lol. Maybe I should send this to my niece, the FBI agent. What do ya think lol. I DID HOWEVER REPORT HIM TO MSN.
Disease or AddictionI’m sure you’ve all heard about Olympian swimmer Michael Phleps getting caught on camera smoking pot by now. Naturally he won’t be brought up on drug charges and says he feels bad and that he made bad choices. Now, if that had been me or you we would have been charged for sure, but that’s not what I want to get in to. The word “choice” is the operative word that I want to talk about. Do you consider an addiction, be it drugs or alcohol a disease? To me a disease is a sickness that you get through no fault of your own. Like MS or polio or the flu, you don’t go out and intentionally get these diseases so there for you are sick. I don’t mean to nor intend to offend anyone with this blog but I do wonder what others think. Whose fault is it if they become addicted? Not mine! I didn’t make them take that first hit or snort that first line or drink until you don’t see straight. Alcohol is little different because it is legal but I still don’t see it as a sickness. It’s just easier to get because it is legal if you’re of age so therefore easier to sneak up on you and to become addicted. I’m not talking about those who became addicted to meds prescribed by their doctors either. That didn’t happen by choice most of the time. How many times have we heard people say that they became addicted from the first hit off a coke pipe, or from the first time they injected that heroin into their veins etc. etc. You know if we heard people say that’s how they got addicted that they heard it too. SO knowing that, why take that first hit or shoot that poison into your arm that first time? What makes them think that they will be different. That they won’t get hooked, that they’ll just do it now and then because it makes them “feel good” Oprah had an entire family on her show yesterday who all are addicted to heroine, from the mom and dad to their two sons. They all jump in the car and drive 100 miles everyday to get to their dealer to buy their poison. Can you imagine that? Then let’s take some people I know for example. They were mother and son who were alcoholics, the son eventually died at the age of 42 from it but the mother is still alive and well. The part I don’t get is they would stop drinking for weeks, months and even years and then go back at it. Now, knowing what it does to them why start again? They aren’t stupid, they know what’s going to happen. They know what it is going to do to the rest of their families and friends and what it’s putting them through. But, the still do it again and again and again. They make the CHOICE to take that drug or drink that drink. And they made the choice to take it the very first time knowing full well that you can become addicted from just that very first time. So is it a disease or is it a choice? Or is it a disease by choice? Makes one wonder why someone would choose to make themselves sick doesn't it. February 17 A letter home
February 16 I went private
It’s a bright sunny Monday but it’s cold, only 18 degrees out but the sunshine helps the mood and makes you feel better. I made my space private the other day. I have been getting a lot of strange messages lately and from visiting some of my friends I’m not the only one. Most of them have been from Mid-Eastern men who are telling me that their religion is the only true religion etc. Along with the messages I’m also getting several invites to their space but when I check out their profile it’s empty with no friends or just women as friends. When I get the invitations I block them from being able to send my anymore, I hope by blocking them it also blocks them from being able to send me a message. Doesn’t it seem strange to you that so many of us are having this issue all of a sudden? It does me. It makes me wonder why and what they are up too. Most of the men are all young looking and one even said he wants to know more about my country. Ok, it could all be innocent I suppose but it makes me uncomfortable. Then just this morning I got a message from someone in that part of the world offering me a job opportunity selling some kind of equipment. Needless to say that too was deleted. I hope those of you who are in my network doesn’t have a problem coming to see me, And I hope that I still show up on your home page that I have updated. I should but with the way MSN has been messing around you just never know lol. I did some scrapbooking yesterday and maybe I will post them another time. I’m not real happy with the way they are but I’ll leave them as is unless I can come up with another idea. I had a Christmas card that I really liked and I cut it out and used the border for a picture frame. That one turned out ok…kind of. It’s too bad that the Daytona 500 was rained out yesterday. Terry went down there just for that reason. Because of the rain they wasn’t able to see the end and how they drive around the track then spin out. I don’t know what else they are going to see and do down there but I told them as long as they’re there they should drive down to the Space Center. I hope they do because that place is awesome. The crawler that takes the shuttle to the launch pad is huge. I bet it’s the size of 2 or 3 or more football fields. The shuttle and launch platform are moved from the Vehicle Assembly Building by the crawler transporter. the CT is a large tracked vehicle that goes under the MLP and picks it up. it drives at 0.8 miles an hour along the crawlerway. the journey takes 5-7 hours depending on the destination. When we went there we got there late in the afternoon so we could only take a short tour. They have several tours you can pick from but because it was so late we had to take the shortest one. One of these days I just have to go through our vacation photos and get them organized. I have several of the space center and would love to go again now that I have a better camera lol. Yup, I’m going to have to call her today on her cell and make sure they go there. Jack has camera’s a lot better then mine and I know he would get great pictures. Well I have a lot of cleaning to do today so I better get at it. Seems no one is volunteering to help lol. Have a super Monday and a great week and I will be around to visit soon. Hugs
February 14 Love is in the airMay your day be filled with love with those you love.
Dinner was delicious last night, they have the best steaks around. The sad part is I couldn’t eat it all so I had to ask for a take home box. No Gill, Cindy and Toodie, I didn’t have any dessert. I just couldn’t eat another bite. You know, I don’t think they have anyone working there over the age of 30, not one. Everyone is so young there but they sure do a good job. It’s very organized and once you sit down you don’t have to wait long for anything. You sure couldn’t tell from that place that the economy is hurting, it was so busy. When we got there I couldn’t believe all the cars that were pulling in too and once inside there were several people waiting for a table. We were told that it was an hour wait. We waited, I don’t think it turned out to be quite an hour though. I will say that it’s worth the wait. I got a text message from Terry too just as we were getting to the restaurant. It said that they were just leaving Graceland. I sent her a text back asking what she got for me lol. I was joking when I told her to get me a birthday souvenir from there but hoping at the same time lol. What a nice surprise when she answered back saying she got me a Elvis mouse pad. Isn't she the sweetest thing ever!!!! I’m going to love that. Lucky me that gets to look at Elvis when I’m sitting here at the desk. I will always be a Elvis fan, to the day I die. We got some more of that nasty white stuff last night. Not much though, not even an inch I don’t think. But we aren’t free and clear yet. The temps next week are predicted to be in the 20’s for highs again. There have been years where we’ve gotten snow in April and May. It use to be that I loved having the 4 seasons but now I think I’d be happy with just 3 lol. Well enjoy your Saturday and Valentines Day kids. I want to hear all about it. Hugs February 13 A nice day yesterday
I had a good day. It started out with our youngest son calling and inviting us out for a birthday breakfast. Then we get home and I see all of your birthday wishes to me which brought a huge smile to my heart. I got cards and calls from all of my kids. And not only that, Beth sent me a beautiful handmade card with some cute scrapbook stickers inside. Thank you Beth!!! Later on I went up for thirsty Thursday where my sister’s had fun teasing me about being old lol. Both Rhonda and Jodi are 8 & 12 years younger then I am so they like to rub it in. We decided to call Terry to see how far they had gotten and she said they were 70 miles from Memphis. I reminded her to buy me a birthday souvenir from Graceland hehe. Tonight Bill is taking me to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner and I’m really looking forward to that. They have delicious food there and I’ve been hungry for a good steak for a while now. So thanks to all of you and my family I had a wonderful birthday. Thank you again from the bottom of my Did you see on the news the story about that commuter plane that crashed near Buffalo N.Y. and hit a house? They said 50 died including a man who lived in the house. His wife and daughter were able to get out with minor injuries. My heart goes out to their families. May God be with them. Well I can’t think of another thing to talk about right now. Well I could, but this would end up being a book lol. For instance…instead of using the settlement money that women got to help her family she uses it for IVF again to have even more children. And another thing…Drew Peterson and his girlfriend were on the Today Show this morning and she doesn’t believe he would do anything wrong. You know, maybe he didn’t BUT in the back of your mind you have to wonder how two of his wives have died or disappeared suspiciously and even an old girlfriend said he’s violent and controlling. What is she thinking??? And of course she’s very young and naive. But I won’t get into all of that lol. I need to get going and come see what everyone is up to today. So I will see ya soon.
February 12 62 years young heheI’m 62 today! I sure don’t feel 62 but the calendar doesn’t lie does it. Not sure what we will do if anything. Bill gave me my gift last week from him. He bought me a blue tooth for my cell phone. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a device that you can sync it to your phone, place it in your ear and talk hands free. It’s kind of like a mini phone. I think he thought of that because he has one and really likes it. I hadn’t thought of getting one as I don’t use the phone all that much but I think I’ll like it. We will probably go out to eat. Now I just have to decide where lol. One good thing about turning 62 is now I can get SS. That will sure help the way the economy is right now. Every little bit helps right. And who knows how long that will last with the way things are going. Did you see that CEO of the peanut company on the news. I couldn’t believe his arrogance and uncaring attitude. Of course he would answer any questions but they had emails from him to his employees and he didn’t care that they found that the place was unsafe and dirty. In one email he got with them telling him something was wrong he said “Not that again, I get this once a week” In another one he said the peanuts on the floor is making him lose money and to get them out. The man just didn’t care even after he knew it contained salmonella. All he cared about was that he was losing money. I think he should be arrested on criminal charges and charged for murder. He seemed so heartless and uncaring when he was before congress. The look on his face was cold and he looked like he thought he shouldn’t be there. Just full of contempt for those asking him the questions. Makes me sick how he behaved and looked on there. Ok,It’s time for me to get in the shower and get busy. Will be around to visit soon but until then have a great day.
February 11 Kids first![]() Good morning one and all. It’s a cloudy day today and raining. The snow is almost completely gone from the nice weather we had over the last couple of days. The rest of the week it will be back down in the 30’s but that’s doable. It’s a lot better then the sub zero stuff we had. We still can get snow though so I’m not holding my breath, it is only February after all. I should go to the grocery store today. I hate going on the weekends because it’s so crowded but if you go during the week you miss the sales. Oh well, I’ll decide that later. I’m sure you’ve all heard about the women who had the 8 babies by now. I watched the interview she had with Ann Curry on the Today Show where she said she isn’t getting any help. Turns out she is. She’s getting food stamps plus 3 of her kids are getting SSI at 600.00 for each child. Her 3 year old son is autistic as well. Her mom says she’s unable to care for 14 kids and that her behavior is unconscionable. They showed the home they live in, I didn’t see it myself but Bill did and he said it was a mess. Food laying all over and even on the walls and clutter everywhere. She won’t name the doctor but it turns out that when she was pregnant before the fertility clinic she went to made a commercial and guess who the patient was. You guessed it, she was. So now they are going to investigate and find out why any reputable doctor would place 8 embryos' into a women who already has 6 children. She says she will raise them on student loans and with lots of help from the community. She said it takes a village to raise a child and in this case it will take lots of villages. Sounds to me that she expects a lot of people to be there for her. She is going to need it, I’ll give her that. Where in the world are you going to put 8 more cribs, high chairs etc. etc when the rest of her kids are all under 8 years old. I feel bad for the children. I’m sure she loves them all and everything but how can she give them each the attention they’ll need growing up. Some are calling for the state to take them away from her but I don’t know if they can. Just because she has a lot of kids they have to have a good reason to do that. I suppose living in squalor would be a good reason. Anyway, my prayers go out to the kids, they are going to have a rough life no matter what happens to them. I think she is pretty selfish. She said she always wanted a large family but at some point you have to think of the kids and not what you want. That’s what most mother’s would do. I makes me wild when people think of themselves over their children. How many horror stories have we heard about kids being left alone and something happens to them. Kids being left in cars when the temperature is either so hot or freezing that they die in the car. Kids being left alone at home and it starts on fire. I know some people say you should put your spouse first and I never understood that way of thinking. Especially when they are young like that. But even now I know that if my kids needed help for something other then some frivolous thing both Bill and I would go without to help them if we needed too. I put my kids first and I know Bill does too. Ok, I better stop now as the more I think about this the more upset I get. Have a great day you all! I’ll see ya soon. February 09 BillI’ve been up since 6 this morning but am just now getting around to blog. I chatted with a couple of friends this morning, took some chicken out for dinner and did the usual morning stuff. Bill had a doctor’s appointment in Madison today so he woke my up putzing around here getting ready. He has to see the podiatrist to make sure his feet are still doing ok. He has diabetes and has already lost a toe so we have to keep a close eye on them. He hasn’t had any trouble now for awhile so I think they will tell him to keep up what he’s doing. It was hard when he first found out he was diabetic which was when he lost his toe. Before then we had no idea. One day he had a corn on his toe and the next day it exploded…literally. It split wide open and gangrene had settled in. He’s lucky he didn’t lose his foot. I really do think he knew something was wrong with him but like most men, he ignored it. He doesn’t anymore I tell ya. It did teach me how to cook different though so that was a good thing. In just 6 short months he went from having to give himself 2 insulin injections a day down to only having to take 2 pills a day and was completely off the insulin. That was 12 years ago and he’s still off the insulin. I was so paranoid about it that I followed the diabetic diet to a tee and it paid off. I’m still somewhat like that but there are times that good old greasy food is on the menu. Another thing I’m paranoid about is making sure there is nothing on the floor that he might step on and cut his foot. His feet are numb so he wouldn’t feel it or notice it unless it was bleeding. So I make sure that if something gets dropped and broken on the floor that I go over it with a find tooth comb to make sure I get it all up. That was scary when it all started and we sure don’t want to go through that again. Speaking of Bill and the floor. Saturday when we were getting ready for William’s party I was doing up some dishes and getting things ready before the kids got here. Well because it’s so muddy and wet outside the floors get pretty nasty so I have one of those Swi**er mops to wipe up the mud when it gets tracked in. I hear him out in the backroom doing something then all of a sudden I see him with the mop cleaning up the mud he had tracked in earlier and had even taken the rugs out and shook them. Of course I was pleasantly surprised so I told him how sweet of him to do that. What does he do??? He looks over at me with a big grin on his face and says (are you ready for this?) Someone has to do it. Naturally he was joking and I knew he was joking but I still told him that I was going to take that mop handle and wrap it upside his head lol. Silly boy, he thinks he’s so cute sometimes. Well,he just got home and he said they told him that everything is looking good! Ok, gotta run. Have a great Monday! Hugs
February 08 What a fun couple of days it’s beenFirst off you all know from Terry’s page what a great day we had helping Jodi shop for her new computer on Friday. I tell ya, those two younger sister’s of ours has me a bit worried lol. They kept forgetting things and then Rhonda would ask Jodi the same question 2 or 3 times. Terry and I teased them that they are the ones who are getting old. The thing is…I’m the 2 oldest girl then Rhonda is 3rd but she’s 8 years younger then I am and Jodi’s 12 years younger then me. They’re too young to be so goofy aren’t they. Jodi did get a nice pc. It has vista and all that goes with new pc’s. She’s having fun playing with it now that we finally got it set up and running. It only took us a little over an hour I think to get it all hooked up. She bought the whole package, the pc, the monitor and printer. I tried talking the salesman into throwing in a webcam but he didn’t bite. After spending what she did on that package I think that’s the least they could do don’t you lol.
Of course the best day was yesterday when all the kids were here for William’s birthday. I didn’t feel like cooking and besides he wanted pizza so that’s what we had to eat. Bill went and bought 3 family size pizza’s which are huge pizza’s and there wasn’t a morsel left. We didn’t do a whole lot, just stood around talking for the most part. We usually play some kind of card game or something but we just didn’t this time. It was actually nice just being relaxed and having fun chatting. The little ones played games on the computer or sat around coloring and drawing pictures. William and his dad left around 5:00 so William could go to his mom’s. I guess she wanted him to come over and spend the night at her place. I’m happy that she did that. There have been years where she never showed up, sent a card or even called so I hope this means she’s getting her act together. The kids didn’t want William to leave, they really look up to him and love spending time together. They didn’t want to leave when it was time either which is always the case. I’m going to have to have them overnight again soon. Brody wasn’t feeling good, he has a little cold. But that didn’t keep him from giving us some adorable smiles, He’s such a sweet, happy contented baby. Of course I have pictures that I am putting in the album. I was playing around with my camera so some pictures are in black and white, some in sepia and of course some in color. I’ve had this camera for over a year and just figured out how to take them in different settings lol. Ok I’m slow but I figure it out sooner or later. So all in all it’s been a great couple of days and I’m happy for that. I don’t know what I will do today but I’ll figure something out. I might do some scrapping I think. Wishing you all a great Sunday! Hugs Sherry February 06 17 already!!!William! Tomorrow is William’s 17th birthday. How in the world did that happen? Seems like just yesterday he was just a baby with that big beautiful smile on his face. He still has that smile though. All the kids will be here tomorrow to celebrate and I’m looking forward to that. I bought his savings bond last week so that should be coming soon. Then probably Sunday we will take him shopping so he can pick out what he wants. We are so proud of him. He’s never been a bit of trouble for his dad as some teenagers can be. He’s never gotten in any kind of trouble what so ever other then missing some homework assignments lol. But that’s pretty normal. He’s just a good kid and his dad has every right to be proud of the job he’s done raising him. The fact that he’s raised him alone as a single dad makes Bill and I proud of him as well. Now all I have to do is convince him to get a hair cut lol. Love you William! With every once of my soul!!!
I went out for thirsty Thursday last night which was nice and relaxing. We decided today that we are going out for lunch then Jodi wants to go buy a new computer and of course we have to help her. She got a nice surprise in the mail the other day. The state intercepted Trent’s dad’s tax refund and sent it to her instead hehe. Too bad it only took 2o years to get it huh. I guess they just found him lol. I’d love to see him go to the mail box every day looking for his check. Deadbeat parents make me so mad. Oh well, don’t get me started on that because there’s another women out there who isn’t paying either. Those who know me know who that is. Anyway, it’s going to be a good weekend all around. I get to go out to lunch with the girls today and tomorrow the loves of my life will all be here. And on top of that the weather is going to be wonderful. Well, we call 40 degree temps wonderful here in the winter lol. Heat wave for us. I will be around later to visit but until then…Have a wonderful Friday and a super weekend!!! But right now I have to go get ready.

February 05 Da** it!Another son was informed that as of 2/16 he too will be laid off from his job. That makes 2 sons and my son-in-law who are out of work. My third son told me that the same could happen to him soon as well. If that happens my daughter and daughter-in-law will be the only one of my kids working and my youngest sons girlfriend. Isn’t that a kick in the pants. Thank you corporate America! I guess that means my kids will have to move to China to get a job. You know, you want your kids to have it better then you did and it sure isn’t looking like that’s going to be for this generation. Then when you hear about these corporate big wigs getting huge bonuses or throwing lavish out of town parties that cost millions of dollars just pi**es you off. I hope they realize that with so many out of work that their big profits and bonuses will go down the tubes too. If people aren’t working they aren’t buying. I don’t want my kids to have to worry about how they are going to feed and take care of our grandchildren. I understand that company’s have to make a profit to stay in business and all and to do that they have to keep wages and other things at a certain level to make it. I also understand why people have to be paid a fair wage in order to maintain a certain lifestyle and be able to afford the things they need and a few things they want. What I don’t understand is why top management gets huge bonuses or they throw huge parties when their company is losing money. Does that make sense to you? It doesn’t to me. I just read that jobless claims have soared to a 26 year high. My sister works for a company that makes tools. They get some of their parts from China and almost every time they aren’t any good and have to be tossed. We’ve all heard and read about the sub-standard work that is done in other countries with all the recalls and things we’ve had the past several years. So how does that do anyone any good. Lucky for her, they were told yesterday that the company is closing that plant in China and bringing it back to her plant. Hopefully more companies will do that too. I pray they do. I’m thinking maybe I should go find a job (if there is any to be found) so I can help my kids if they need it. I wish our house was big enough to bring them all back home. So, that's how I spent most of my day. How was your's? February 03 Breakfast for freeDid you go to Denny's today? They are giving free grand slam breakfasts to everyone in the country today. We didn't go but I think it's wonderful that they are doing that. When I think of all the hungry kids families and senior citizen's and homeless people out there who might for the first time in days have a nice hot breakfast it makes me feel good. I'm sitting here eating my corn flakes with banana's and wheat toast this very minute and I'm happy with that. So kudos to Denny's Speaking of breakfast...we are meeting Bill's work pals and their wives tomorrow again for breakfast. We missed it last time. Just plain forgot all about it. CRS ya know I scrapped a couple pages over the weekend that I'm pretty happy with. The first one was taken of the kids at Christmas. They were all making funny faces at me hence the saying I put in there. The second one of course is of my granddaughter in her ballet tutu. So I thought I'd share them with you.
Hoping you all have a grand day today Hugs February 02 Stoopid Ground hog.
That sure was some game wasn't it! It went right down to the last few seconds of the game before the Steelers pulled it out and made a touchdown. It was a back and forth game for sure. The Steelers scored first then the Cards got hot and went ahead and I thought for sure they were going to win. Oh, did you see that 100 yard TD the Steeler's made? That was a first for the Super Bowl. Needless to say my son was happy. I called him and he was whooping it up and was going to call everyone he knew who was cheering for the Cardinals. It probably would have been nice to see the Cardinals win because I think this is the first time they have ever made it to the Super Bowl let alone win one. But, it wasn't in the CARDS (hehe) for them I guess. Well Jodi got her hair cut but she's not happy with it. She likes the style but just not for her. It's short in the back and angles long toward her face and she doesn't like anything hanging in her face. She said she's going to go back and have her cut it again. Here she is before. And here's after It was kind of a busy weekend and I didn't get around to visit so I'm on my way now. You've all been good haven't you? |
