    Trick or Treat ;)

Well are you all ready for all the little witches, ghosts and goblins tonight? I have my candy all ready and hope to be able to get rid of it all! I sure don't need it around here to tempt me. I'm not staying home all night though so I hope they get around early. My sister and a friend are dressing up, our friend made their costumes and she's quite imaginative so you know I have to go and get pics of them. I told them I would come as a photographer lol. If I had something here I could use I would surprise them and dress up too but I don't so that's that.

The TV is all hooked up in my room and I'm good to go. Surprisingly they showed up around 9. I was glad about that, I hate waiting around all day for someone to show up. I just might be heading up there in a little bit to work on another page. After doing the one I did the other day I realized how much I missed it. It had been quite some time that I last made one. I always had the radio to listen to and my cd's but now this way I can watch my favorite shows at the same time and I really like that idea. It will give me more time to work on them. I am so far behind on the ABC event compared to everyone else. Some of you are already done and have done great pages!

I think I might move my furniture around today too if I can handle it. The couch is so heavy but I think I will be able to manage it. Just a few inches at a time lol.I use to move it around a lot and it drove my kids nuts, they asked me if I had issues lol. Kids always think their parents have issues don't they Big Grin.

I can't believe how nice the weather has been the last couple days. It will be almost 70 today and it got close to that yesterday. I am sure enjoying that as I know it won't last long. Maybe I'll add a walk to my list today too. I was going to yesterday but didn't get around to it so maybe today. It all depends on how my back feels after moving furniture around lol. I am old ya know and not as strong as I once was lol.

Ok, I hope you all have a wonderfully Happy Haunting Halloween. I'll see ya real soon.

    All Alone Am I

    WITCHYS WIKKED GRAPHIX

Because Bill left this morning to go up north turkey hunting. I hope he has fun but I also hope he doesn't get one lol. We still have some turkey jerky left from the last turkey he got. He'll be back on Saturday but I imagine it will be late afternoon as I'm sure he'll stop at a couple casino's on the way home. Wish him luck please! I hope he hits a big one! I'll have the kids tonight but most of the day today and all day tomorrow and tomorrow night it's just little ole me. Right now I'm waiting for the dish network guy to come and hook up the TV upstairs. He's suppose to be here sometime between 8 a.m. and noon. How much you wanna bet that it will be closer to noon? Oh speaking of the that, I didn't buy a TV stand after all. I priced them and looked at them but I decided I didn't want to spend $70.00 or more at this time so I'm using one of my end tables for now. I'm going to have to move my living room furniture around because it looks un balanced now with the table gone. Funny how just one little thing out of place can throw they whole look off isn't it? I didn't buy the TV, in case you were wondering lol. It was my dad's. My sister had it for awhile but then she went and bought herself a flat screen TV so I took this one. Now I'm glad I did lol.

I did scrap a page last night and it was so nice having all that room to work in. I'll post it in the ABC event's site when I'm done here. I think it turned out pretty good but I'll let you be the judge. I started working on another one but didn't have time to finish it before the kids got here. I have all kinds of ideas for other pages and I have the time to do them now that the room is done. YaY!

Today is Thursday and you know what that means don't you? Thirsty Thursday! I can go again because I don't get the kids until 8 now. I was usually always home by 7 anyway so I have time now to go visit my sisters and friends once again. I'm looking forward to that. It's going to be a nice relaxing couple of days...no cooking!!!

That reminds me. I watch the food network a lot and now the kids even like to watch it. Their favorite shows are Ace of Cakes, Diners, Drive-in's and Dive's and Unwrapped lol. Josh even said he thinks he might want to be a chef someday. In fact he wants me to let him cook something. The problem there is they get here so late now so we really don't have time to do it. I told him to tell his mom that so she can let him try something over the weekend. I hope he remembers.

Well that's all for now. I will get the pic loaded and get it posted in a few minutes then I'll be around to see what you guys have to say. Take care and have a super great day!

    Full tummy & room pics

E-gad I'm full! Bill wanted to go out for dinner tonight and I over did it. I thought about going somewhere where we could get a nice steak dinner but Bill suggested we go to this place that we haven't been too in a long time and come to find out they don't serve steak dinners lol. It was a bar and grill that sits on the river where you can sit and watch the water and the boats go by. It's nice in the summer but there wasn't too much to watch tonight. I just had a french dip sandwich but they are so big and I ate every morsel. I was really hungry  but now I wish I had only eaten half of it and brought the rest home. Why do we do that to ourselves lol. Now I'm so full I can hardly move. Tomorrow I'm changing my ways. No more over eating, no eating after 6:00 and start drinking more water. You heard me say it so now I have to stick to it right Day dreaming. I know you guys will keep me honest...you will won't you Praying

I've been gradually getting things moved into the new room. The hard part is putting things where they will be handy. I like where I have some of it but I can't put my desk by them because there isn't any room there. It looks like I might be doing a lot of getting up and down when I'm up there scrapping. But that might not be a bad thing...good exercise you know. I took some pictures just to give you an idea but I am still thinking of where I want things to go. But here's a few to show you how it's turned out.

So there you have it. That's what I have been working on forever and ever it seems. I'm still not done putting all my stuff in there from the other room yet but at least this way I can show it while it's still clean Rolling on the floor This is where I hope to spend a lot of time creating memories. I sure am glad we got this finished before winter set in, it will give me something to do on the long cold winter days and nights.

Ok, guess that's all I have to talk about for now. I think I have brain drain and can't think of anything brilliant to say so I will just say...

    Framed

    Halloween Pictures, Images and Photos

I forgot to tell you that when I got home from the Casino Saturday that Bill framed the window while I was gone. I was surprised and he did a darn good job of it too. So today I am going shopping for a room size rug and some curtains. Slowly but surely that room is taking shape. Won't be long and I'll be spending all my time up there scrapping, so if you don't see me you know where to find me lol.

I saw on my sister Terry's blog that she told you that our sister Rhonda joined the ranks of bloggers. I asked her how come and she said she wants to have as much fun as we are and get to know all you super people. Terry made one little mistake though, she tried to give you the link to her site but she gave the wrong one. So here I am to the rescue with the right one. Just click on her name and pop over and tell her we sent ya. Rhonda will be happy to see you. The last I looked she hasn't written anything yet but she did set up her guestbook.

It's a tad nippy here this morning. Only 37 right now but should get all the way up to 40 lol. Boy was it windy here yesterday. I bet the winds were blowing 30 mph at least and it was non-stop. I almost blew away when I went out to the garage Tongue. If you believe that I have property to sell ya in the swamp lands of Florida Smug Winter is definitely on the way like it or not. Are you ready?

Going to make this short as I want to go shopping lol. So I will see ya later. Have a great day ya hear!

    I'm a winner

    7-7-7 Pictures, Images and Photos

In the fact that I'm not a loser lol. Well I did come home with about $20.00 more then I went with so I guess that qualifies me as a winner doesn't it. Even if I came home with just what I went with I consider that a win. I played all day on their money and that's the way I like it. A couple of people who were with us was a bit more lucky. One won $800.00, another won about $600.00 and of course most were losers. The bus ride over to Iowa is about an hour and a half and the ride is half the fun. They always request the same bus driver when we go because he is so much fun. He's a Bear fan and of course most of us are Packer fans and he always has a joke for us. We tease him and he teases us and it's all taken in good humor. We sing silly songs and joke around just like we did when we were in school lol. You know the song...the wheels on the bus goes round and round, this guy sings that every time we go lol.  Anyway, it was a lot of fun and I'm glad ya'll talked me into going Love Struck. I needed that. It has been a long boring year and it felt good to get out.

I have a puter problem. I belong to a group of true crime readers and we have our own forum, but lately I can't get into it. It's a java site and now when I try to go I get this message...Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VAR, expecting ';' in /home/thejavar/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php on line 2689...I have no idea what a parse error is but I have a suspicion that the problem lies in my computer and not on the site itself. I'm going to have to do some searching I guess or call someone who knows more then I do, which is just about everybody lol. I hope I can figure it out soon as I miss going there.

Ok, I have things to do around here so I better snap to it. Have a great Sunday and take good care.

    Hugs

    Quiet car again

Well my car is fixed to the tune of $215.00, $40.00 of which was towing that we can get back from our insurance. The entire exhaust system was shot. In fact the muffler had hole in the entire length of it. It only started getting loud a couple weeks ago so we figured it would just need a muffler until the pipe broke and was dragging. So that's that, it's done and over with and I won't get pulled over for making too much noise.

I'm thinking about going to the casino tomorrow on the bus with the bunch from the bar. I'm fighting with myself over this. I really don't feel like I should waste the money like that especially after having to fix the car. But, on the other hand I haven't been anywhere all year and I am climbing the walls. Of course it's up to me as to how much I gamble and there's always the possibility that I could win... isn't there lol.

I went out for Thirsty Thursday last night as the kids wasn't getting here until 8 and when I walked in I got a nice surprise. A friend who use to live here and hung around with us is here visiting. She moved to Michigan when she retired and is back to sell her house and get things she left here. It was so great to see her and she will be going on the bus with the crew tomorrow too. Her and her daughter both are going.

I am finally finished painting...hooray!!! I cleaned it all up yesterday and scrubbed the floor up there and now all I have to do is move stuff in there. I think I will do some of that today. Bill still has to trim the window but I would think that shouldn't make too much of a mess.  It feels good to be done with it finally. When I started it I didn't expect it to take this long but hey, at least it's finished.

Ok, time for me to get going and do something. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Go out and do something fun!!!

    Butter or Margarine

I got this email the other day. I have heard this before, don't know just how true it is but if it is I thought I'd share it. I will not and have not eaten margarine for years. Butter makes everything taste so much better. Anyway, here's what it said in the email.

    This is interesting . . . .
Margarine  was originally manufactured to fatten  turkeys.  When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put  all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get  their money back.  It was a white substance with no food appeal  so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter.  How do you like it?   They have come out  with so many clever new flavorings

DO  YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

Both  have the same amount of calories.

Butter  is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8  grams compared to 5 grams.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent  Harvard  Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

    Butter  has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few;
    Only  because  they are added!

Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years .
    And  now, for Margarine...

Very  high in Trans fatty acids .

Triples  risk of coronary heart disease .
Increases  total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and  lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)
Increases  the risk of cancers up to five fold.

    Lowers  quality of breast milk.

    Decreases immune response.

    Decreases insulin response.

And  here's the most disturbing fact.... HERE IS THE PART THAT  IS  VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine  is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC.

This  fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life  and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is  added,  changing the molecular structure of the substance).

    You  can try this yourself:

Purchase  a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded  area.  Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

    *  No flies, not even those pesky fruit flies , will go near it  (that  should tell you something) .

    *  It does not rot or smell different because it has no nutritional  value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny  micro-organisms  will not find a home to grow.  Why?   Because it is nearly plastic .  Would you melt your Tupperware and  spread that  on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends.....(If you want to 'butter them up')!

    Chinese Proverb:
'When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it,  you have a moral obligation to share it with others'.

    Pass The Butter ... Please

    Almost done

Autumn Road Pictures, Images and Photos

With my painting. I worked on it all day yesterday and should be able to finish it today...YAY! Seems like I've been working on that room forever. Well, I guess in a way I have been haven't I. Then all that's left to do is framing the window and scrubbing the floor. I think I want to buy a nice rug to put in there. I'd really like to carpet it but with the holidays approaching I don't want to spend the money on that right now so I will wait. But I can see an end in sight and I'm getting excited now. Applause

Man, if it's not one thing it's another. The other day I went through my closet and was getting rid of things I don't like or don't fit. I usually drop them off at the Goodwill or give them to the March of Dimes but this time I decided to take them to the battered women's shelter. So I bagged them up and off I went. I get down the road a little ways and was sitting at the stop sign waiting for it to turn green. When it did I go to take off when all of a sudden I hear a loud rumbling noise. I thought it was the car coming from the opposite direction as it was pretty beat up and in bad condition. I'm thinking boy that car is loud. Well wouldn't you know, it wasn't that car, it was mine. The exhaust system broke and it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. Not only that, the pipe was dragging on the road. I turn around and head back home driving so slow I'm sure the cars behind me thought I was the little old lady from Pasadena lol.  I have an appointment tomorrow to get that fixed. Sure didn't need that right now. At wits end

Well, If I'm going to get that room done I better get at it. Now I'm in a hurry to finish it. I was surprised that my hip and legs didn't hurt me too bad yesterday after I was done. Climbing up and down a ladder isn't something I do everyday lol. Anyway, I'm off and at'em. So have a great day everyone and I will see you sometime later today.Wave

gold divider Pictures, Images and Photos

I would sure like to know how in the world I get so much junk email. I go to very few websites, I don't take survey's and I don't join anything. So how do they get my email address. I know some probably just put in a bunch of random letters and numbers hoping they will get lucky but it does make you wonder. I've been getting a lot that says the government has money for me, some that says I can get rich working at home for google. Others that say they will help me get out of debt lol and secure my future. Oh and then there's the ones from the pharmacies for cheaper meds and the ones who can tell you how to make your phone bills disappear. Then of course we can't forget about the ones where you can buy their product and look years younger. Oh I could go on and on. I probably made a mistake by going to some of there sites and clicking on unsubscribe or anything that will stop them from sending them to me. It probably made it worse doing that ya think. It's as bad as getting junk snail mail. Actually it might be worse, this way they don't pay postage.  All I know is I wish there was a way to stop it. It does go into the junk folder when I block them but they keep coming. Doesn't it tell them if they have been blocked? If not I wish it would. If any one of you out there has the magic solution for this problem I do hope you'll share it with me lol.

Not much else to talk about so I will be on my merry way.

But first here's a couple of Mother-in-law jokes for you.

A man, his wife, and his mother-in-law went on vacation to the Holy Land.

While they were there, the mother-in-law passed away.
The undertaker told them, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000,

or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for $150.00."
The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
The undertaker asked, "Why would you spend $5,000 to ship your mother-in-law home,

when it would be wonderful to be buried here and spend only $150.00?"
    The man replied.....

A man died here 2000 years ago, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead.

    I can't take that chance!

    ****************************************************************************

When the man came home, his wife was crying.

"Your mother insulted me," she sobbed.

"My mother? How could she do that when she is on vacation on the other side of the world?" the man asked.

"I know. But this morning a letter addressed to you arrived. I opened it because I was curious."

    "And?"

"At the end of the letter it was written:

PS. Dear Diane, when you have finished reading this letter, don't forget to give it to my son."

    Good Morning!!

    Autumn Pictures, Images and Photos

    Good Morning and happy Monday!

Well we had the Elk for dinner the other night and it wasn't too bad. Not something I'd want every day but it was ok. It is a firm meat and very lean. Bill thought it was very good but I haven't found too much he doesn't like in our 42 years together. I wish I was more like that. If it doesn't look or smell good I don't even want to taste it. I know I'm probably missing out on some good stuff but that's just the way I am.

The Packers walloped the Colts yesterday 34/14. The Colts played like a high school team, they  just couldn't do anything right. Brett and the Jets lost tho. The Cowboys lost too (Sorry JoAnn and Danielle) by the same score between the Packers and Colts.

Why is it when you buy lottery tickets for someone else they are winning tickets but when you buy them for yourself they are losers lol? I bought some scratch off tickets and a Badger 5 ticket and put them in Jodi's birthday card and she won $23.00. Now if I had bought them for myself they would have been losing tickets. I was happy for her though when she called to tell me. I was hoping the Badger 5 was a big winner but it was only a $2.00 winner. But hey, she got lucky and good for her.

We didn't do much over the weekend. I cleaned mostly. Washed rugs, swept and vacuumed the floors and then I sat down and finished the book I've been reading. It was one of Kathryn Case's books titled Singularity and was a good book. It was her first novel, she normally writes only true crime. This week I am tackling upstairs now that the mud is dry. We had to get some primer for the wall and we got that yesterday. Bill has the wood to frame the window so as soon as I get that wall painted he can do his part.

Time for me to get busy so I will say so long for now.

    Hugs

    Hello Saturday

    Myspace Graphics

Today I went along with Bill to the farmers market. I don't usually go but I decided that I would tag along. We bought some squash and some garlic and other spices then we went by a stand that sold Elk meat and he bought some Elk ring bologna. I had no idea how to cook it but they told us to just put it in a pot of boiling water right in the package it came in and there's no need to thaw it out. I will let ya know how it is when we eat it. I'm not big on wild game meat but I'll give it a try. Have any of you eaten that before?

Last night I went up to the bar to be with my sister's and celebrate Jodi turning 50. We had a good time singing and dancing and being silly. I forgot to take her birthday card with me so I will run over with that later on today. I was lucky that my son-in-law got out of work early and pick up the kids otherwise I would have missed all the fun. It's hard to believe that my baby sister is 50. She doesn't look 50 and she certainly doesn't act 50 either lol. We always have fun when all of us are together.

Devan came home all excited yesterday because she got 102 on her spelling test. I asked her how in the world do you get 102 instead of 100.  It turns out that one of the words in all her spelling lists has a word that is a little bit harder then the others. The word on this weeks list was carnivorous. That's a pretty hard word for 3rd graders. Anyway, when I asked her what she got on her test she got a great big smile on her face. You could tell she was pretty proud of herself and of course I told her that I was proud of her too.

Here's a picture of Jodi's grandson. He has a lot more hair then Brody does lol but what a little doll  he is. It's quite a big year for Jodi. Turning 50 and becoming a grandmother all in the same month lol.

It will be fun watching the boys grow up together.

It's a beautiful fall day. The sun is shining bright, there's little or no wind and the temp isn't bad either, it's up to 54 now. The leaves are sure falling fast and I think they are at their peak now. I should go out and get some photos of the big hills but the best time to get them is early in the morning when the sun is just right, they are so pretty at that time of the day.

Well I better get Jodi's birthday card over to her and see how she feels now that she's almost a senior citizen lol. I'm sure you've heard how it is on the day after the night before lol.

Hope you all have a great and fun weekend.

    Who's the better cook?

    Rain

Yesterday was a nasty rainy day and I didn't feel like doing a darn thing. I did have to run out and get some more formula and diapers in the rain and I almost melted Batting Eyelashes. But I made it home intact. So after I got home I just sat and read and didn't do a thing until it was time for supper and take care of the kids when they got here. Which brings me to this email I got...

    A Retiree's Thought...
My wife said, 'Whatcha doin today?'
    I said, 'Nothing.'
She said, 'You did that yesterday!'
    I said, 'I wasn't finished!!!!!!!'

I think that says it all don't you lol

I had to laugh at what my daughter  told me what Devan said to her when she was fixing them lunch yesterday. Devan was with her in the kitchen watching her get things ready and then says to her  "Mom, I hate to tell you this but Grandma is a better cook then you are." Then she asked her if she was mad at her for saying that lol. Of course she said no she wasn't mad. When they got here and told me about it I told Devan that my mom was a much better cook then I was too. Isn't that the way it goes though? My mom could make spaghetti sauce better then most Italians. But of course she learned to cook from the best too. Back then you didn't have all the convenience foods like you have today. Of course in those days more mom's were stay at home mom's and didn't have to work 40 plus hours a week at a job and then still have everything at home to do.  The thing is, I don't even like to cook lol. But I don't like the boxed dinners you can buy either. You know the one's, the kind where you just add the meat. And even some of them already have the meat in them and all you add is water or something. Those are just to salty for me so I avoid them for the most part. So I'll just plug away and cook as simply as I can lol.

Boy the leaves sure are falling fast. It seems like one day we didn't have any and then overnight the yard was covered. The kids have fun in them though.

After we took a walk they wanted to play out side in them so I naturally had to get some pics.

    DSCF1273

Earl is done with his part now. The drywall is up, he textured the ceiling and put the last coat of mud on so as soon as all that is dry the rest is up to me. Well not quite. I have to get my boys down here and carry the one sheet of drywall that we didn't need out. I didn't realize that stuff was so heavy until I tried to take it out myslef lol. Oh and when I took the plaster off I took the wood off around the window too as it was old and ugly so we have to frame the window again. I will be SO glad when it's finally finished! Now I have to get off of here and get up there and start cleaning up. So I will bid you ado and try to get around to visit real soon.

    Until then...

    Have a great day!

    Boy do I feel stupid

    duh Pictures, Images and Photos

I'm no Einstein that's for sure and neither is Bill. We do have light in the room I've been working on. It's the strangest darn thing. Jack and Terry came over last night and Jack had his meter to test and see if electricity was going into the light fixture and the wall plug  and lo and behold there was. When it first happened Bill put a new light bulb in and it didn't come on, put another one in thinking that was just a bad bulb ...still no luck. He plugged his trouble light in and that didn't come on either. We reset all the circuit breakers and that didn't do any good. I took my pole lamp and plugged it in the hallway socket so we could see what we were doing in there. Ok, Jack tested it and yes there was electricity going to everything. He said it must be the light bulb, Bill said it's a new light bulb but let's try it anyway. So I took a bulb out of the pole lamp, put it in the fixture and to our shock and surprise it came on. We laughed and felt stupid thinking that was a bad bulb. BUT I then took that same bulb and put it in the pole lamp and that darn bulb came on. Another strange thing too. We plugged the pole lamp into the socket in the room and only two of the 3 lights came on, but when it was plugged into the other outlet all 3 came on. Someone smarter them me has to explain this to me. We were all laughing and I started humming the theme song to the Twilight Zone. Terry asked me if the house was haunted and Jack asked if anyone has ever died in the house lol. Funny thing is someone did. The women whose husband built this house died of a heart attack here many years ago. So could someone explain to me why a bulb doesn't work in one thing and does in another? Why would only 1 light come on and not all 3 in the pole lamp but they all work when plugged in somewhere else? The important thing is everything works and we didn't have to hire an electrician to come and fix it. I'm a happy girl lol. Earl will be here shortly to put the last coat of mud on and then I'm on my own.  I can finish painting and hopefully I'll have the room finished by next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me will ya?

Later I have to make some pumpkin bars for the funeral today. I saw his wife on Sunday and she's doing pretty good for all intense and purposes. I do have to run out and get some cream cheese for the frosting though. I love pumpkin bars so I'm glad I'm making them for that and not for here lol. I know I'd eat them all. I won't be able to go because I'll have the kids but I wanted to do something. My sister is going to have to come and get them for me and take them with her.

Before I go I want to say

To our baby sister Jodi. She turns 50 today.
    Love you!!!

Over the weekend and plant closings.

    Canada Pictures, Images and Photos

I want to wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends in Canada! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good Monday morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. The weather here has been so beautiful the last few days, almost spring like. I wish it would stay like this but of course it won't so I'm enjoying it while it lasts. Love having the doors and windows open. My weekend was nice. Saturday I went over to see my sister's new little grandson and visited with them for awhile. Yesterday I went up to the bar and hung out with my sister's and watched the Packers beat the Seahawks. It was scary for a while but they ended up winning by 10, the score was 27/17. Aaron Roger's did pretty good, even with his sore arm. We watched the Jets play too and Brett put another win on his belt. I heard the Jet's coach had a baby on Brett's birthday and he named the baby after him. I think they used Brett for his middle name. I was happy to see the Falcons beat the Bears too.

Earl put another coat of mud on the walls yesterday, one more to go and it will be ready to paint AGAIN! I guess he's going to do that tomorrow. I hope Terry reminded her hubby to bring his meter home and test the wiring there so we can get that fixed. Resetting the breakers didn't do any good like I'd hoped. I'm going to buy a new fixture anyway, the one in there is pretty old. Of course the house is pretty old and that's why things keep going wrong in here. When the light broke Bill once again said he wanted to sell the house lol. But in today's market things aren't selling so I guess we're stuck. Besides I can't imagine living anywhere else. I can see why he wants too when things keep breaking down and going wrong. It is frustrating and depressing.

General Motors is expected to make an announcement today about the plant here. When they first said they were closing it down they said it would be in 2010, then they said by the end of next year and now it's rumored that they might close it by the end of this year. Our senators and governor has offered them a substantial incentive package and I guess they were seriously considering it. I'm praying that they will say they accepted the package and are keeping the plant here open.

    UPDATE...

General Motors just announced that they will be closing the plant on December 23rd. That sucks!!! 1300 plus people will be out of work at that plant and then of course it will affect other plants around here as well.

    Merry Christmas huh Angry

I have some new photos of Ryker that I took the other day and will put them in the album when I get them loaded on my PC. He sure is a cute little bugger. He has more hair then Brody does right now. It will be fun watching them grow up together.

Well, that's it that's all for now.

Take care and have a great day.

    Hugs

    Been busy

    Seasonal

The last couple days have been busy. Wednesday Bill had an appointment in Madison so I took William to school in the morning, after I did that I decided to go to the grocery store where I dropped $160.00 Angry. I was planning on having a nice relaxing afternoon as I wasn't going to have the other kids  but it turned out William's Choir concert was that night. I was so tired and all I wanted to do was sleep and tried to take a nap but couldn't fall asleep. At least I didn't have to cook dinner though, Bill brought pizza home. One good thing though is he got a good bill of health at his appointment. The doc told him he's in darn good shape for his age. The concert was great! Some of those kids can sure sing. There was one girl who you could hear above the rest and she was just amazing. It made me wonder why they didn't choose her to do the solo's instead of the ones who did. They were good too but she was great.

Yesterday Earl came down and hung the drywall in the room I've been trying to redo for months now. He's here now taping and mudding it. He told me to take down some of the ceiling that he thought should be replaced. So after he left I went up there and started pounding away. I had stuff falling on top of me and flying all over the place.  The bad thing is, a piece of the ceiling hit the light fixture on the wall when it fell and broke the light bulb. I didn't think that would be much of a problem but when we got it out and put in a new bulb it wouldn't turn on. Not only that the plug in on that wall doesn't work either. I just don't get it. The circuit breakers are all on so what could it be? That light is directly on the other side of the wall that the light for the stairway is on and that light works. The fixture itself isn't loose or anything. Now I suppose we will have to get someone who knows about electricity  and wiring in to fix that. Why can't things ever be easy!At wits end

Not only that. I had gone up and painted what I could paint while I was waiting for Earls back to get better so I would have that much done at least. But now it looks like I'm going to have to redo that too. He is going to tape and mud other seams that is starting to show so all that will need to be painted over again lol. Here I thought I was being so clever and wouldn't have as much to do when he was done with the drywall. I guess that's what I get for thinking. Hopefully since the paint is relatively fresh it will blend in well and I won't have to do the entire room again.

On a sad note, a man who comes into the bar committed suicide on Tuesday. I know that his wife left him not long before that so I'm wondering if that's what pushed him over the edge. It's so sad. He was a nice guy. They haven't been getting along and would argue at the bar but I didn't think he would do something like that. You know she will blame herself and no amount of talking will convince her otherwise but you can't control what someone else does. They've only been married a year or two and I thought they would work things out. A neighbor man found him hanging in his garage. Can you imagine walking in and finding that! I feel bad for him too because that will stay with him for the rest of his life. Bill heard it on the scanner when he called 911. They live just down the highway from us so we were trying to figure out who it was. I was hoping and praying that it wasn't someone I knew.  May God rest his soul and that he is a peace now.

Well I hope you all have a great weekend. I will be around to catch up on all of you to see what I've missed the last couple days.

    See you soon!

    This and that

AS you can see from the photos I just posted the kids were having a good time again. I also got some video of them dancing but I haven't uploaded those yet. They can sure be goofey at times. I was happy that they didn't have a lot of homework last night. The thing that surprises me is I don't have to tell them to get at their homework. They start it as soon as they are done eating. They don't take after grandma in that respect...I hated homework lol.

I won't have the kids tomorrow, Deanna took a vacation day. The only reason she took tomorrow off is because Bill has a doc appointment in Madison at 7:30 in the morning and won't be here to pick the kids up from school. She's on her way here to drop Brody off the same time he's on the way to pick them up.. It's kind of hard being in two places at once ya know lol. I should go to the grocery store tomorrow since I have all day. Now that I'm cooking bigger meals again I am running low. It use to be 2 pork chops was enough but not anymore.

Please, please, please let Cloris Leachman be voted off tonight on DWTS!!! Did you see where Misty tore her Achilles tendon? Boy if that pop I heard when they showed them practicing was that tearing that had to hurt! They said that's what it was and I was amazed that it was that loud. I sure hope it doesn't hurt her volleyball career.

Well, I don't have much to talk about today. Besides I need to get busy. The floors need attention as well as the laundry needs to get done. I do hope you all have more exciting things to write about that I can read lol. I'm on my way to find out before I get busy.

Take care and have a super great day!

    New phones and other stuff.

    Good-Morning

    Hello and Happy Monday!

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. Ours was nice. Saturday we went out and bought new cell phones. My poor hubby is having a devil of a time learning his. They are confusing at first though. He wants something simple without all the hoopla that comes with them now. He told the salesman he doesn't one one with a camera lol. The salesman told him they all have cameras now. He also bought a blue tooth lol. He does like the idea of just being able to say who you want to call instead of dialing the number. First we need to get that part figured out lol. He still will have to push some button to do it I'm sure so it won't be as easy as he thinks it is. I have to read the book, figure out how things work and then show him. But then I'm not having an easy time figuring out mine either. I want to download a song onto it and I tried and tried last night and just couldn't get it. Guess what song I want on there lol....

After that we went to Fuddrukers for lunch so that was nice. Then on Sunday we got that beautiful new little bundle of joy. Can you believe that baby was born on the day it was due!? How often does that happen, especially for a first baby. I was surprised and Marie and Trent was very happy it happened that way.

Now I better go and get something out of the freezer for supper. I'm not sure what I have here and if the kids will eat it. They are pretty good though and eat most anything. They even like fish so I might take that out for today. Surprisingly they are not big on sweets. They would rather snack on fruit then anything. And they love salads too so I make sure we have that most every night. I hope they don't get bombarded with homework this week like they did last week. Especially Devan. Oh, speaking of homework. She called me Friday night (We didn't have to have them as dad got out of work early.) to tell me she only got one wrong on her spelling test. She was so excited. The one she got wrong wasn't even the one she was having trouble with and the one I thought she would surly get wrong. And she did good on her math as well. They got their progress reports and she's getting all A's and B's so far. Josh is doing pretty good. He has mostly A's and B's but there are a couple C's and a D in science in there so he has some work to do.

Ok, I have to get busy. I hope you all have a great Monday.

    GUILTY!!!

Simpson Found Guilty of Kidnap, Robbery Charges // O.J. Simpson (© John Gurzinski/Reuters)O.J. Simpson was found guilty on all charges last night. He could possibly get life w/o parole. I doubt he will get that but he will serve several years behind bars according to the news this morning. The ironic thing is they said it was 13 years ago to the day that he was acquitted of murdering Nicole and Ron. Karma got him good lol.  He looked stunned when they read the verdict. That smug look that he had on his face for years after the murders is all of a sudden gone. I hope once he goes to prison the other prisoners don't treat him like a celebrity and he gets cushy treatment while there. His lawyer wasn't surprised about the verdict but is planning an appeal. I am so happy they finally got him!!!

I bet the Goldman's are happy about this. Now I hope they can find all the money he's squandered away in off shore banks. I know he put most things in his children's and other people's names but I hope there is something they can find. The Goldman's did say that they don't want a garage full of his stuff but they don't want him to gain anything either. I haven't read the book "If I Did It" They were talking about that on the Dr. Phil show the other day when there were on it. He also had a guy who was his sports manager who also wrote a book about how he helped O.J. "Now" he says he is ashamed of what he did and feels terrible. He said all the proceeds from his book goes to charity but Dr. Phil called him out on that. Only 20% goes to charity, the rest goes to him.

I didn't have the kids last night so I went up to the bar to visit with my sisters for awhile. It felt good to get out. I told Bill yesterday that I needed to get out of the house, he tells me...there's the door lol. Jerk!!! He knew what I meant, he was just being funny. I never stay long but it's nice just to sit and talk. We were trying to remember the actresses who played in the movie Thelma and Louise. We knew Susan Sarandon was one of them but couldn't think of the other one for the life of us. When I came home I looked it up on the computer and called them lol. If I hadn't it would have bothered me all night trying to think who that was. Oh, it was Geena Davis.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do today. Just veg out I guess and take it easy.  Maybe I'll do some scrapbooking today. I'm so far behind and I need to crack down and get at it. I usually liked to do it at night when there's nothing on television to watch but now that I have the kids I can't do that. So that only leaves the weekends. Maybe I can talk Bill into going out for dinner tonight, I'm tired of cooking.

    Take care everyone and...
