I couldn't get to sleep last night at all,no matter how hard I tried. I finally gave up around midnight and turned the TV on. I laid on the couch and watched 2 movies and a couple other shows and sat there willing myself to fall asleep. I don't know why. Everything is ok and I wasn't thinking of anything special so I guess it was just one of those nights. It was 5:30 the last time I looked at the clock and finally fell asleep. I still woke up and 8:30 so I have a feeling a nap will be in order later today. My shower helped wake me up though. I always feel better after that.

I might go with Jodi tomorrow when she gets her hair cut. Audrey is going to and then after they are going out to lunch so I think I will join them. Rhonda is getting her hair cut too but at different salon and will join us for lunch as wekk. I don't think I've ever cut her hair but I use to cut her husband's and son's hair. I gave it up when my clippers broke lol. Now Bill even goes to a salon. I did get some before pictures last night but only with my cell phone. I think I will go over to her house today and get some with my camera. They will probably look better too.

Well, I guess that's all I have to talk about today. This just isn't a happening place lately lol. I wish someone would get married or something so we could party again. I feel the need to

It's snowing again darn it. Yes, I'm complaining.I shouldn't complain though,not when I saw what that ice storm did to those south of us.I feel bad for those folks. With that said I'm taking back my complaint.One good thing, the temperature is all the way up to 28. It feels a lot better then what we've been having.

Since today is thirsty Thursday I think I might go to the bar tonight and get a picture of Jodi before she gets her hair cut. Good idea JoAnn, thank you. I do have some of her holding the baby but they don't show her hair all that well.I think I'm just as excited about it as she is nervous lol.I'm sure she'll be happy when it's done. She's usually pretty game to try anything and if she let me chop away at her she'll really like this I think. It's actually going to be a real style.

It's superbowl weekend so who are you cheering for? I guess to keep peace in the family I should cheer for the Steeler's huh. In reality though I really don't care who wins. My kids are sad that football season is over, especially my daughter-in-law, she loves football Sunday hehe. Now they are wondering what they will watch on Sunday. It's cute though.She's a huge Packer fan and every Sunday her and the kids put on their Packer outfits, she gets the snacks ready for game time and they are all set. My son, (the trader) is a Bear fan so he puts his Bear jersey on. He use to be a Viking fan but didn't like how dirty they play so he switched.I'm really so ashamed of all of my kids. None of them are Packer fans.I must have dropped them or something when they were babies to have caused this kind of damage.No, it can't be my fault, Bill must have dropped them .

Ok, time for me to get to cleaning around here. The floors need scrubbing again and the carpet needs attention. But before I do that I'm on my way to see you. I've been to a few but not all yet. So, I hope you're home.

I called yesterday to see what wireless would cost. It's and extra $9.99 a month and a $49.99 hook-up fee. I think we are going to pass. I spend enough time on here as it is and if we both had computers that were Internet capable and I wouldn't have to share with Bill I'm afraid I would be on way too much lol. Besides, there are other things I'd rather spend the money on even if it is only $10.00.

Remember when my car wouldn't start Saturday? Bill had a blond moment when he went out to put the charger on it . He comes back into the house and tells me that he can't even get the hood to open. I'm thinking, boy don't tell me that's frozen shut. Ok, right away I thought I'll take the hair dryer out and try to melt the ice. One other day earlier in the week my car didn't start and he had no trouble getting the hood open and putting the charger on it but things happen. I go outside with him and he tells me to pull on the latch while he tries to pry open the hood. I'm bending over looking for the latch and he's pointing down showing me where it is. I kept saying where because I couldn't see the latch where he was pointing. He's pointing and saying "it's right there" I look again. He's not pointing at the hood latch, he's pointing at the trunk latch lol. When he pulled that up the trunk did open but jusst slightly.  We both said "DUH" at the same time lol. He then reached down and pulled the right latch and poof, it popped right open . We've had this car for several years so that makes it even more funny.

Speaking of Bill. I told him all of you are mad at him for not going to the Dells to see the sculptures. I thought maybe if I told him that, he'd do it for you guys, but that didn't work either . I'm still working on him though, they haven't melted yet . Then he had the nerve to bring up turkey hunting in April . Imagine that! I told him he couldn't go because I haven't been anywhere at all and that would be 3 times in a year that he's gone up to Tom's to hunt. Not fair I say! I told him he couldn't go anywhere until I go somewhere. Then he said I didn't need him to go all the time, that if I want to go somewhere to just go. I said sure, where am I going to go by myself where I could feel safe driving somewhere alone. So then we started talking and he said take a bus trip. Well, I looked on the Internet and do you know that it costs a whole lot more to take a bus trip somewhere then it does to fly? I was surprised at that.

Since I'm on the subject of Bill, I always tease him that he has a girlfriend, and now I have proof lol. Whenever he goes somewhere like to the store or the credit union he's gone for hours. Something that should only take and hour or so takes him 3. Well the other day he comes back home from the credit union with a picture of him and a women. She's a die hard Steeler's fan and has her office decorated with all kinds of Steeler's stuff. Our youngest son is a Steeler's fan too and he has a Steeler's coat that he didn't take when he moved out so Bill wore it the other day when he went to go draw some money out. She loved it lol. She knew that he's a Packer fan and for him to wear that coat there made her day so she had a co-worker take their picture. When he went back yesterday she gave him a copy. I'm talking about Jodi, my youngest sister. I've cut her hair for years, probably most if not all of her adult life. Well, it's been awhile since I last cut it and it's really looking shaggy. It just so happens that our friend Audrey just had her hair cut in the cutest style and I really like it. When I was with them the other day I told Jodi she should get her hair cut like that, I think it would really look nice on her. She said yes she knows she needs a cut and was going to call me. She said she does like that style so we talked her into letting Audrey make and appointment with her stylist.

I guess I better get to the part that doesn't make sense huh. See, I'm not or ever have been a stylist. I've never gone to school for it or anything. I would just watch how they did things when I got my hair cut. So for years I would cut her hair, my mom and dad's, Bill's etc, you get the picture. Anyway, Jodi calls me last night and tells me Audrey set up her appointment for Saturday at noon. I told her that is good, that I think she will look nice with that style and am looking forward to it. Then she tells me she doesn't know why but she's nervous about going and a little scared lol. I said..Jodi, why would you be nervous going to a professional when you've never been nervous coming to me the amateur and letting me cut your hair. That doesn't make any sense to me lol. Getting nervous when your going to someone who knows what they're doing and not being nervous to go to someone who doesn't. But, I can't wait until Saturday, she'll look HOT hehe.

I've been playing around with Picasa just to find all the fun things you can do in there. I highly recommend that program because like Cindy said, It's very user friendly.This is a collage I made with Picasa. I added the green background and the white borders around each picture. You don't have to have the borders if you choose not too, it's all up to you

.  

The black and white pictures I took as black and white but I also made another collage where all the pictures were taken in color but you have an option in there where it will turn some of the pictures to black and white and leave the others in their original colors like I did with this one. the first one all the photos are in color and the second one was done with Picasa turning some into black and white and leaving others in color. Cool huh.

There are several different effects you can choose from along with lots of other things like printing in different sizes, adding text, making movies or gift cd's etc.

It's another cold morning here with the temperature at 1. It doesn't look like we are going to get our January thaw this year. My car wouldn't start Saturday so Bill had to put the charger on it again. It made me mad to because I was going to go over to my sister's and I couldn't go because Bill had left for a luncheon with his sister and mom. I probably could have done it myself but I wasn't exactly sure how to do it. I know you have to have the positive and negative's right or you could really mess things up. I probably should learn how to do that the right way shouldn't I.

Yesterday I went to the bar to meet up with 2 of my sister's and some friends. It felt good to get out for awhile as it's been about 2 weeks or more that I've gone anywhere and I was starting to climb the walls. My sister made some soup that she took up there for anyone who wanted to eat and it was good too.  I didn't stay long but it felt good to look at a different 4 walls.

My daughter brought down an old monitor they had for the other pc I was using before this one got fixed. The problem is it's one of those big monstrous kind that takes up a lot of room. I had a flat panel one that I had given them when we got our new pc but I couldn't make her give it back lol. She also had my old printer, they got a new one so she brought that back too. So, now I can set it up and have two puter's up and running. I am going to call and see what wireless will cost us so we can both be online at the same time hehe. If it's too much I'll go without, it's not that important.

It's been a nice couple of days with temps back up in the 20's and 30's but it's all coming to an end tonight. The temp will steadily drop to 6 below again. One good thing though, the days are getting longer and that's a good sign, right?

I think I'm going to go to the options part of spaces and turn off some notifications in here. Especially the one where it shows you if someone joined someone else's network. Those things sure fill up your homepage too much for my liking. I do like to see when someone wrote a new blog or added pictures but I don't want all of it on here I don't think. I have over a hundred in my network now and sadly I don't get to all of them like I should. I went through it the other day and deleted some who I haven't been too in a long time and some who haven't been to visit me either. You know how it is. You may have quite a few but there are certain ones who you go see the most. And if you're reading this you are one of those lol. I received this "saying" the other day and this just reminded me of it. It goes like this, "Of all the people I know, you are one of them ". Cute huh!

I'm not sure what my plans are for today. Making goulash for dinner is one of them but beyond that I don't know. It's already after 12:00 so half the day is gone already. I would have been on here earlier but I was talking to a friend I use to work with that I haven't talked to in a long time. It was nice catching up with her. I guess I'm in a better mood today. Well, I'm not in a grumpy mood anyway. That's progress!

Well Bill just got home from the store and he brought lunch home with him so I better go eat it while it's hot. Chicken sticks from you know where hehe. Love those things. I think he's still trying to kiss up to me  Sorry, he didn't bring enough for everybody . See ya soon!

I spent yesterday printing out pictures I want to work on and then saving them to disk. I just love this printer, it does a great job on pictures. I also love the Google photo program picasa. You can do so much with it, things like putting text right on the picture itself, and putting borders around the pictures. You can fix any picture so easily, even change it to black and white, sepia or a host of others. I think it's just about the easiest program I have ever used and the fact that it does so much is the best part.

I'm not in a too good of a mood today. I don't know why though. Just one of those days I guess. You know the kind of day where you know you should be doing something but just can't get motivated? The kind of day where nothing inspires you even though I have tons of things that need attention here but I don't seem to care lol.

It's not going to be too bad of a day weather wise today but then it's back down to single digits and below zero again. Did I mention that I hate winter lol. I really don't and usually like having 4 seasons but it's been such a crappy year starting with last winter so I'm getting pretty fed up with it lol. Did you see how cold it got in Florida overnight hehe! It got down into the 30's, what a shock for those folks huh. Welcome to our world right?! But with that comes frozen citrus and higher prices. I don't know what Mother Nature is so mad about but I sure wish she'd get over it

That's because I've been watching the inauguration. I've watched each and everyone since I've been old enough to know what's going on and I find it so interesting. There are so few countries where the changing of power from one person to another is done peacefully. That makes us special if you ask me. So today is the end of one era and the beginning of a new one and all we can do as a people is stay strong and stand proud.

I'm happy to report that I finally have my computer fixed, back home and running like a charm and the total repair bill was 0$. Zero is good!!! Boy, what a difference between this one and the one I was using. This one is 1000 times faster then the other one was. It was almost like I was back to using dial-up and with this one I'm back to the future lol. So I'm a happy girl today. Now I need to find a good used monitor so I can hook the other one back up for Bill lol. I don't want to buy a new one I don't think. They are pretty standard aren't they?

Bill knew I was mad at him yesterday. I think not talking to him unless I absolutely had too was his first clue. I didn't say a word on the way up to pick up the computer. When we were almost there he turned and asked me if I wanted to stop and eat somewhere while we were out. I just shrugged my shoulders and didn't answer. Then he made the mistake of telling me it was up to me. I said...oh ya, this is up to me. If it was up to me we would have gone to the Dells today. He'll never learn hehe. But we did stop and eat, and then after he asked if I wanted to stop at the cd store as he knew I've been looking for a cd. Well, who am I to turn it down when he wants to buy me something I've been looking for. Sad part of that though is they didn't have the cd I wanted but I did find one that I hadn't heard in years. Its a Paul and Paula cd. Do you remember them? I also got a Letterman cd. I love the oldies music but I think you've figured that out by now lol. Of course Elvis will always and forever be my favorite of them all.

Just kidding of course but the jerk doesn’t want to go to the Dells to see the Sculpture’s. If it wasn’t so far away I’d go by myself but I don’t know how the roads are up there so I’m stuck here at home STILL! After I mentioned going there and he said no he didn’t want to he starts talking about eagle watching near here. Well of course he would think of that. That’s something HE likes to do. I like it too but we’ve done that already a couple of years ago. MEN!!! The thing is, I haven’t been out of town in over a year now and it’s really getting to me. We couldn’t go anywhere last year because of the flooding and I’m not use to that. I like to go go go and being stuck at home for over a year isn’t my idea of fun. He’s been up north twice last year to go to his best friends house turkey hunting so now it’s my turn, Right? Oh well, the year is just starting so there’s hope, I think. Oh, It’s not ice sculpture’s, it’s snow sculpture’s. Not that it makes any difference, I would still like to see them.

One good thing though. I got a call yesterday and was informed that my other computer is fixed and ready to go. The best part about that is there is no charge. I’m going to keep this one for a back up or use it for games and stuff but I will be glad to have the other one back as this one is so slow. I am sure glad my son fixed this one that I’m using now. I can’t imagine what I would be like having to go without over these last 12 days. But I will say I was doing better the first few days then Bill was. He kept talking about why it should take so long to fix it. I should have made him wait and not tell him that Jesse had this one fixed lol. If I’d known he was going to be a poop head today I would have lol. I can always find something to do. He’s the one who has it hard in the winter to find some entertainment. Would have served him right huh?

Ok, enough ranting and raving. I guess we’ll go get the computer and set it back up again. I hope you all have a better day then I will. And a better day then Bill will too as I’m out for revenge LOL!

Lately I’ve been getting quite a few invitations which most of them have been from men. When I get them I of course go check out their site and profile and lo and behold they have nothing on their space at all, and all of the people in their network are women. They don’t leave any comments to anyone that I’ve noticed so why I ask. What’s the point? I’m not into being in someone’s harem so I decline. So if you’re one of them reading this…thanks but no thanks.

I do usually give them a few days before I decline just in case they are just starting to blog but if after a week or so and still nothing it’s no go. Just the other day I went through my friends and deleted some that haven’t blogged in ages or who never come around anymore and I don’t go there either. So I whittled it down some and am hoping I didn’t remove someone I didn’t want too lol.

I’m hoping I can talk Bill into going to the Dells tomorrow. They had an ice sculpting competition there over the weekend and I would love to go see them. It’s over with today so tomorrow it won’t be as crowded and I’m pretty sure they don’t take them with them when they leave lol. People came from all over the world to sculpt and I bet they are amazing. So wish me luck in talking him into it. The weather isn’t suppose to be too bad, a high of 19 and that’s bearable. I know if it was like it was last week he wouldn’t go and I wouldn’t want to either. I don’t know how the sculptors did it in those temps. So wish me luck that I can talk him into going.

My daughter sent me the cutest pictures of Brody that I will put in a album. He’s getting so big. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen the kids now that Jon is laid off from work and I don’t babysit anymore. I miss them even though it’s only be a couple weeks that they were here last. I guess we’ll have to take a drive up to their house too.

I'm sure if you've been to visit Terry and Cindy you know how cold it is here in the midwest. It's crazy. All the schools are closed and most activities are cancelled. I see Terry's water is froze which isn't surprising in these temps. We are fine so far though thank God. It's -15 at the moment with windchills down to -45 and that's the way it's going to be for the next few days.

Are you watcing American Idol this season? I am and I have to say that they have some pretty good contestants this year. I like that they added another judge too and I like her. I feel so bad for those who try out and who really can't sing if thier lives depended on it but think they can. I think if I knew someone like that and was going to try out I would do all I can to take them out of it. Some of them took it very well but others took it hard and thought the judges were wrong. It's almost heart breaking to watch how upset they get.

More people are going to be out of jobs here in town again. A Cubs grocery store is closing down in a few months. I think the one in Madison is too. This area is getting hit so hard and I don't know what peole are going to do. The Indians were trying to get permisson to open a Casino here but that was denied too. I have two feelings on that. One is with so many out of work people can't afford to go there anyway but on the other hand it would create jobs so desperately needed. The guy who denied it will be leaving office soon so maybe the one who will take his place will see it another way. I wish I had the answers but I don't and I don't think anyone does. All I know is this area is getting pounded on hard and it's depressing.

Well I"m off to color my hair and jump in the shower and start my day. I will be around to visit soon to see if you all are staying safe and warm.

It’s so good to be back! Did you all behave while I was gone?Did-ja miss me hehe,Huh did-ja?

Our computer is still in being fixed, I’m using an old one of ours. It’s the one that the hard drive fried and our son took it and put a new hard drive in and re-installed windows and stuff. He’s had it fixed for awhile but since we had the new one I wasn’t in any hurry for it. Until now that is lol. I called him when he got home from work and told him we were coming up after it. He wouldn’t take a penny for fixing it and I don’t know what it cost him so I hope it wasn’t too bad. I’ll feel awful if I find out it was a lot. This one has Windows XP so I have to get use to that again and it’s a whole lot slower then my other pc. But hey, I’m not complaining. Nope not me. I’m just happy to be able to get on line again. I’ve missed all of you and it will be fun catching up on what you’ve all been doing.

Isn’t it funny just how much we have become dependant on our computers? I remember thinking years ago when pc’s were becoming popular and thinking that I wouldn’t want or need one. I thought it was an expense that we just didn’t need and that I wouldn’t use it that much anyway. Of course now I couldn’t live without it. To be honest though, I actually think I was taking it better then Bill was lol. He kept complaining that he couldn’t understand why it should take them so long to fix it. Then when I told him Jesse had this one fixed he told me to call him to see if he was home from work yet so we could go up and get it. The first thing I did when we got home was download his poker site so he could play again. It’s probably because I can find things to do and it’s harder for him to find things to do. Especially in the winter. Besides, I knew I can always go over to any of my sister’s and get on their pc’s to check in if I wanted. I don’t think they would appreciate it if he went over and played poker for hours and hours lol.

Besides missing all of you, you know what else I missed? I missed being able to jump on here and look things up that caught my interest. I can’t tell you how many times that I’ve thought of something or saw something on television and want to know more that I would jump on here and look it up. If Bill’s on at the time I write it down so I can look it up later. That was hard on me. In the BC (before computers) years I would look it up in the encyclopedia but they were so old that lots of times the info was outdated or wasn’t even in them or I’d go to the library. Computers makes it so easy though and I found that hard these last few days.

But anyway, I’m back and I’m happy. It will still be at least another week before we get our other pc back but as long as we have this one we are a happy couple. I don’t know what happened. I just started freezing up on me after about 5 minutes of turning it on. Nothing I clicked on would open and I couldn’t even shut it down the right way. What ever caused it I hope it doesn’t cost much to fix it. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Well It’s getting late so I guess I will go for now but I will be around tomorrow to visit as many of you as I can. Besides, I’m sure you can all imagine how much email I have to read.

My cousin called me yesterday to tell me that my aunt Dolly passed away around two in the afternoon. If anyone goes straight to heaven when they pass she certainly will. This lady was an angel here on earth. She was married to my mom's brother and they had 8 children. Their 7th child was born with the umbilical cord around her neck which cut off oxygen to her. As a result Kathy is severely mentally handicapped. She will be 42 next month but is more like a one year old child. All she can do for herself is walk, everything else has to be done for her. They were told when she was born that she probably would never walk and most likely won't live past the age of 10, but they didn't know my aunt and uncle. They were devoted to giving Kathy the best life they could. When she was born they told their other kids that God has given them an angel to take care of for awhile, and indeed he did. Now Aunt Dolly is one of God's angel's. I really don't know how she did it. Her life wasn't an easy one but you wouldn't know that from talking to her. She always had a smile for you, she never complained about anything and always looked at the bright side of things and always had a positive attitude. They are an extremely close and loving family and all the other kids are so good with Kathy as well so I know my uncle will have lots of help taking care of her. It will be harder now but I know they will all be there for him. I'm sure she will be watching from above and they will feel her with them.

I've been a

Today

So far today I've done laundry, swept and vacuumed, went and got my hair cut, came home and made beef soup. It's simmering away on the stove and boy does it smell good in here. I might even make some biscuits to go with it. You're welcome to join us for dinner if you want. We  around 5 o'clock. I love homemade soup, I think I could eat it 7 days a week. I take after my mom that way, she loved it too. Of course her's was much better then mine but mine's delsih too if I do say so myself.

I needed a hair cut so bad. I have been chopping away at it like I said before but today I was especially upset with it so I called to see if I could get in. I don't usually have any trouble getting an appointment for the same day and that's what I like about Kay my hair stylist. So now I'm almost a Diva like Rambling and Danielle She could tell I did some trimming myself but she was able to save it and make me gorgeous again. I'm so glad I found her. You know, once you find a stylist you like you want to keep her. I've had others then they move away or something and I am looking around again for another one. I won't lose her though, she owns her own shop so I doubt she'll be going anywhere. We met when I worked at the restaurant and became friends. We are the same age and what's really funny is people say we look like sister's. I've had people come up to me in stores thinking I am her and she says the same thing has happened with her. Even her husband says we look alike. You know what they say, everyone has a twin out there somewhere. Mine just happens to live in the same town lol. Over the years though I've had so many tell me that I look like their sister, their aunt, a friend or mom. I guess I have one of those generic faces that match a lot of people lol.

After getting stuck in the snow Friday night I stayed home and did nothing the rest of the weekend. Good thing too because it rained and there was a sheet of ice on the roads. Some still are and that is not good driving conditions. Parking lots still have ice on them so you have to be careful walking. I should get some of those cleats that slip in the bottom of your shoes. Nah I'll just stay home lol.

Well I got distracted and didn't get this published right when I was done so I better shut-up now before something else comes up.

 Last night I thought I'd go up to the bar with my sister's for a bit. They are usually there on Friday's and I was bored so I thought I'd run up there. When I got to the drive to pull in I didn't see any of their cars so I decided to go back home. There was a string of cars coming toward me and a bunch coming behind and they were going pretty fast. It's a 4 lane highway and cars whiz by there. I kept watching my rearview mirror and it seemed the cars coming wasn't slowing down so I took off and drove up the road to turn around. I've done that so many times. I've seen too many people get rear ended along here and I don't want to be one of them. The cars in front see your directional's but cars behind them don't so when they move to the other lane the other cars think they are just moving over and they speed up. Anyway, I get up to where I want to turn around where there is a restaurant  that is closed and up for sale. The parking lot has been partially plowed but there is a snow bank right along the road. Some of it has been worn down but not all. It didn't look that deep so I whipped in there to turn and head back home. Well, I got stuck. I tried for a few minutes to get out but no luck. The idiot part is I didn't take my cell phone with me so I couldn't even call Bill to come and help me. I thought about it too when I got in the car but then decided I wouldn't need it. I thought about walking back home or to the bar but it's a dark stretch of highway and I didn't like that idea. Thankfully we have friends who live just down the street from where I was so I walked to their house. On the way I was hoping they were home and I was sure relived to see that they were. They were sure surprised to see me standing in their door. Anyway, Jerry and I got in his truck, went back to my car, hooked up the chain and pulled me out.

I know one thing. I will never leave the house without my phone again.

I'm staying home today and...

The swiss steak I made yesterday was so good! Bill even had 3rds. Here's how my mom made it and how I make it too. Mom was the best cook in the world and I can't even come close but I try. I use round steak. Sprinkle s&p on it and garlic powder, dredge it in flour and pound the crap out of it to tenderize it. Chop an onion and a couple cloves of garlic and saute them in a small pan. Brown the steak in oil then add the onion and garlic. Pour a can of diced tomatoes over it and add just enough water to cover the steak (you might have to add more as it's cooking) I also drain a can of green beans and throw them in. You can add peas too if you want. (No Darla, I don't remember mom ever putting carrots in it.) Salt and pepper to taste and let it simmer for a couple hours or until the meat is tender.  For those of you who like mushrooms you can saute them in with the onions and garlic if you want, I would have if I had any yesterday but I didn't. How do you make yours?

I've been thinking a lot lately about my nephew's new baby. My sister sure is enjoying her first grandchild and it's so fun to watch her with him. She says when she looks at him it brings tears to her eyes just from pure joy. So that made me think of Trent's dad who will probably never see his grandson. He's been a deadbeat dad all of Trent's life and because of that Trent doesn't want anything to do with him, so even if he did happen to show up one day Trent would tell him to hit the road. He's even said as much. It was always his choice, he was always welcome to see Trent when he was born. The last time he saw him was when Trent was about 3 and it was just by chance that they were at the same place at the same time. Even then though he never came up to him or said a word. I can't imagine. He will never know what a great young man he is and has turned out to be a wonderful father (unlike him). They wouldn't know each other if they were walking side by side down a sidewalk. My sister has every right to be proud of the way HER son has turned out. My dad was Trent's father figure and he couldn't have had a better one in all the world. They were very close and grandpa could do anything in Trent's eyes. He was and is his hero, and all of ours too but Trent needed him more just for the male bonding all boys need. The think of it is though she didn't have to raise Trent alone, we were all there to help out when she needed us. If we aren't anything we are a very very close family.My kids and my sister's kids would take him with them if they went shopping or wanted to go see a movie or anything. They are all more like siblings then cousins. I don't know why I started thinking about this. I guess it's just the fact that Ryker will never know his grandpa they way Trent knew his. But in reality it's probably a good thing.

Ok, enough of that.

I am going to take my tree and decorations down today if I don't do another thing. I planned on doing it yesterday but I got lazy hehe. No plans for the weekend either and that's a bummer. Oh well, you can't have excitement every day of your life right lol. I do need to get my hair cut though so I might see if I can get in. I've been chopping away at it once in awhile and my stylist probably won't be to happy about that. I'm sure it's a mess and will need a lot of trimming up just to get it even. I'm looking pretty shaggy.
